My wife and I have now stayed at this family-run hotel some ten times. We first stayed here is apart of a package holiday, but have since returned independently.
The hotel is in a superb location, with all rooms having south facing views, overlooking fields, trees, the tennis courts and swimming pool / sauna park. Ours had a small balcony with table and chair, previously the room had a larger balcony but part was converted to offer a bay window, offering better views up and down the valley.
The hotel offers full board, though this includes a light lunch, which we rarely eat as the sumptuous breakfast and large dinner, together with afternoon apple strudel is more than enough, though we occasionally eat a snack at a mountain restaurant.
Our room was very spacious, with Austrian twin beds, a sofa, chair and table, fridge, safe, flat screen tv and free wi-fi. There is plenty of cupboard and draw space and a rack for dirty boots. A towelling robe and slippers are provided for each guest. The bathroom had a shower (some with bath), bidet, double sink and toilet.
The hotel has extensive leisure facilities including large indoor and outdoor pools, which are very warm, a solarium, a gym and an indoor sauna park / spa. I didn't try any of the many spa treatments but we did use the sauna park which has a large sort of hot tub with massage jets, two saunas, a salt-water pool with underwater music, a steam room and an infra-red room. The showers are hot and powerful, so much so that we rarely used the one in our bathroom. The spa has a large relaxation area, with complimentary hot and cold drinks and apples.
The hotel organises various walks and cycle rides with their guide, Jurgen, a charming guy. Each trip includes a break at a local restaurant.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at and the family are always on hand to speak with guests and ensure that the wheels are well-oiled.
