“The perfect retreat, quiet, relaxing and tranquil, Chris and Joe are the perfect hosts attention to detail is impeccable, a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

The lodge is beautiful with wonderful attention to detail in the decor. Chris and Joe are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they truly go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The food was sensational and a true work of art... Just beautiful! I genuinely didn't want to leave and I will most certainly be coming back! Only negative can be difficult getting a taxi from this location. Highly recommended retreat.

“Beautiful Place/Wonderful Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

My wife and I and two of our adult children were fortunate to stay at Musavale Lodge on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day while visiting family and friends near Eumundi. This is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, extremely comfortable, and spotless. Chris and Joe made us all feel extremely welcome and went the 'extra mile' in looking after our daughter's puppy on Christmas Day for which we were extremely grateful. Their a la carte breakfasts on the verandah were delightful. We would thoroughly recommend Musavale Lodge if you are looking for a quality B&B on the Sunshine Coast operated by warm and charming people.

“5* luxury on a personal, friendly level - a hidden gem - not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2010

Chris and Joe offered a warm welcome on arrival, followed by freshly made afternoon tea. Luggage was taken to our room. We stayed in the first floor Verandah Room which opens out onto the wrap around verandah (goes right round the property) offering additional sitting out space with outdoor furniture, also lovely far reaching views into the countryside. Bedroom beautifully and comfortably furnished, bathroom spacious and top quality with separate toilet. Air conditioning with reverse flow (for cooler nights).

Lovely swimming pool and spa!

Top quality breakfasts, several courses offering a choice which Chris cooks to order, home made bread and preserves - eaten outside on the verandah. Chris will cook an evening meal if ordered in advance, and as she is Cordon Bleu trained, the two meals we had were of exceptional quality, wine of your choice included.

The thing that makes Musavale Lodge stand out from the rest - it's Chris and Joe - their attention to detail - this really is 5* luxury, but friendly 5* luxury. They are masters of their trade and have lead such interesting lives.

Musavale Lodge is a great location for people who like peace and quiet (there are only 3 bedrooms) but like to dip into the more lively scene of Noosa, it's only 20 minutes away, with its National Park walks and the market at Eumundi every Wednesday and Saturday - not to be missed.

The only thing on the downside was the fact that we had to leave to come back to the UK!!

“I'd come back for the third host, Snoopy, the Jack Russell, alone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2010

My only hesitation with recommending Musavale Lodge is that I risk the chance of someone else having my bed when I next want to book a room! Having travelled in dozens of countries over the past 3 decades I simply can't believe the epitome of service, wonderful food, ambience etc was right on my doorstep all along, in Australia! Chris and Joe Russell are the hosts 'sans pareil' - attentive without being obtrusive, informative without being 'know alls' and a major point....it's the best breakfast I've EVER had! And I could go on....but moving on from breakfast, the raspberry souffle is to die for! We were there for a week and we wanted to take the whole family home with us, Chris, Joe and Snoopy! One of the things Australia lacks in the hospitality industry is good old fashioned SERVICE! And Musavale Lodge has it in spades!
Now, what to have for breakfast!

“It gets better and better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2010

This was our second stay at Musavale Lodge, and it was great to see Joe and Chris (and Snoopy) again.
Honestly, there is not much more to say from my last review, except this. The level of luxury, service and attention is second to none, still. The location is perfect, still. The meals are sublime, and having Chris prepare you flawless meals is a great opportunity if, like us, you value great food. When was the last time you had the complete attention of a Cordon Bleu-trained chef, cooking only for you? Such is their attention to detail that the meals we ate last time had been logged, so that they did not 'double up' this time. Nothing is too much trouble and we can only, still, recommend to all our friends, and whoever else might read this, that Musavale Lodge is a special place to stay for special occasions – or on any ordinary occasion, for which you would like to feel special for a few days.
