“Best B&B we have stayed at!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

John, Fizzie and Sarah made our stay so relaxing. The house was decorated so tastefully and our room was beautiful. We had a wander around the grounds and made use of their pool. We can't wait to stay in their 1912 Railway Carriage in the near future. Thank you for the best weekend we have had in years!

Room Tip: The Emperor's Suite was roomier and had its own large bath. Also, it was airconditioned.

“A fantastic, friendly and luxurious stay...highly recommend it!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

We loved our time at Hidden Valley...so much so that we came back and stayed a second night on our way back through, totally unplanned. We stayed in different rooms and just loved the relaxed, gracious, friendly atmosphere. It is so close to everything...and Fizzie and John and Sara bent over backwards to make our time with them so very special. Can't wait to return!!

Room Tip: Loved the train carriage...but the room in the main house with the backyard view was spectacular.

“Fabulous family weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Our family booked the entire B & B to celebrate a 75th birthday and we can't recommend it highly enough. The beautiful setting, lovely hosts, comfy rooms, delicious food and great service all combined to make for a memorable weekend.

Fizzy, Sara and John took care of everything so all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. And we certainly made the most of it!

We especially appreciated the little touches like the candles, fresh roses from the garden, ice buckets magically appearing on cue, handmade chocolates and beautifully set table.

The rooms are all spacious and well-appointed with quality towels and toiletries. All of them have windows or verandahs opening to lush greenery.

The house itself is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We particularly loved sitting out sipping champagne and watching the sun set from the wide old verandah.

If you're looking for a special place filled with love and warmth and style, then don't go past Hidden Valley.

“Girl's Week-End Away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We have an annual girl's week-end away at this beautiful property. It is walking distance to the markets which we stretch out over the 2 days. (the original markets on the Sat & the newer ones on the Sunday) This prevents shopping overload. We have stayed here numerous times and always found the hosts, John & Fizzie and staff to be very attentive and wonderful. The Breakfasts are yummy and the house divine. We have only stayed in the house but I imagine the train carriage would be lovely too. There is a huge verandah for lounging on and enjoying the beautiful views of the mountains and gardens, There is a magical cake that no matter how much you eat, it never disappears too!! This year we had a bit of fun and had a high tea event. We dressed to suit the occasion and a lot of fun was had by us all. (and bubbles too) I would not hesitate to recommend this property. Try it and I am sure you will not be disappointed. But don't tell too many others, or we will all have trouble getting our booking!!

Room Tip: The Hinterland Room has lovely views to the mountains and gardens thru the bay window.

“A nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We enjoyed our stay at Hidden Valley. The B&B is in a great location - it is a short stroll to the impressive Eumundi Markets. You are also in close walking distance to shops and cafes so an easy place to stay if you don't have your own transport.

We stayed in the Hinterland Room. It was very clean, a good size and had lovely high ceilings. The ensuite was compact - no bath - but the shower was great (good water pressure!). The bed was really comfortable too. Some of the furnishings were looking a little tired but overall, it was fine. We could hear road noise if we had our verandah door open but it was quiet when the door was shut. Unlike other B&Bs I've stayed in, the rooms are not serviced/cleaned during your stay.

The best thing about the B&B is its setting. The grounds are lovely and it is very pleasant to sit on the verandah and look at the view while eating breakfast.

The breakfasts were yummy - a different dish each morning. Port, tea, coffee, biscuits and cake were also provided in the house for guests, which was a nice touch. The extra touches were appreciated: a good stack of magazines available for guests to read, and board games provided in the lounge room.

The hosts were very warm and friendly, and they went out of their way to make guests feel welcome.

I'm sure it's because I live in the city, but one thing that I found off-putting was that we weren't able to lock our room. We weren't provided with a key. It was annoying having to lock up our valuables in a suit case each time we went out as I didn't want to leave things lying around in the room knowing it wasn't secure. For peace of mind, it would have been good to have been able to lock the room.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. If you are looking for a place to stay in Eumundi, Hidden Valley is a great option.
