“Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2007

We spent for four nights at the Clisham Guest House and found it to be an ideal place to stay. The rooms are well furnished and very clean while the situation by the Loch is excellent; Lochcarron is well placed for touring the area. David and Tracey were very friendly and extremely helpful when we ran into a spot of trouble.

“Delightful”

The Clisham is a small but delightful bed & breakfast.

I booked a 2-night stayed for my parents and brother as we were attending a wedding in the area (my husband and I were staying with friends).

The b&b is located on the main street in Lochcarron and has stunning views across the water.

The owners were incredibly welcoming providing us with tea and home-made shortbread on arrival. Throughout the weekend they were always happy to give my parents information about the local area.

Both rooms were nicely decorated, homely and spotlessly clean, and the reports I received about the breakfasts could not have been higher.

All in all the Clisham proved an excellent place to stay and I would heartily recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Scotland.

“We loved The Clisham”

We have just returned from a 2 night break at The Clisham Guest House, Lochcarron, Wester Ross. We would recommend this small family run guest house to anyone.

The accommodation was superb, extremely clean and welcoming. There are rooms in the main house aswell as a lovely self catering chalet. The proprieters Dave and Tracey were as warm and friendly as anyone could hope for, they have an amazing local knowledge and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is fantastic, quite probably the best breakfast we have ever had, sausage, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, beans, local black and white pudding along with organic cereals, juices, home-made breads and preserves, the list goes on........ this certainly set us up for our day!

The guest house actually overlooks Loch Carron, the pictures show the view you get whilst eating your gorgeous breakfast! The picture with the houses in view was taken from the Loch actually looking at the Clisham Guest House, can things get anymore idyllic?

Lochcarron itself is a very well served village considering its location, you can get the best of both worlds here. There is a pub, garage, spar shop etc. We went over to the Isle of Skye on one of the days and it was only a 25 minute (extremely scenic) drive from Lochcarron, we also visited Applecross and Plockton which are very close by. The location is perfect for cyclists, walkers, climbers, sailors or just people like us going to get away from it all.

The Clisham Guest House has a website with lots of details on, however when you type it in your search engine make sure your get the right one as there's a guest house of the same name in Inverness!!

We will certainly be going back to the Clisham, a glance at the visitors book will confirm the exceptional hospitality given by the proprietors.
