We booked a stay at the Petra in September and on arrival were informed the hotel was overbooked. The manager (or receptionist) we do not know who took us across the road to some rooms.
We had booked the Petra as it has Air Con, a fridge in the room and a swimming pool and we liked the look of the photos on their web site.
However the rooms we got had no Air Con only use of a communal fridge My room had no shutters and only a see through flimsy curtain allowing no privacy. My sister and her husbands room resembled hurricane Katrina as it was continually awash with water from a leaking bathroom. The electric cables in the bathrooms were exposed
We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Even if we had been allowed to stay in the Petra as booked, the swimming pool is allowed to be used by anyone regardless if they are staying in the accommodation.
I cannot reccomend this hotel to anyone as there is no guarantee you will even be staying in it.
