We came to Ramsau quite late, it was dark, wanted just something clean and inexpensive to sleep. We took the better room (the one with shower). The lady asked for 44 Euros for the room. She did not speak good English, but knew numbers quite well. Forty four is quite easy. I speak some German, so we made sure we really talk about "Vierundvierzig" Euros. The price seemed to be good. The room was not nice, bed was not comfortable, but what you can ask for this money. My wife and i decided to stay, the price was just good and we wanted just sleep one night and tomorrow find something better (we were going to stay for 4 days in Ramsau). Breakfast was OK. The nasty surprise came at check-out. Another lady asked us for 78 Euros. We tried to explain that in the evening it was just 44 Euros. And that we would not sleep here for this price. That we would go somewhere else. For 78 Euros you can get much better hotel. She said the rate is 78 and never was 44. After some arguing, on my request, she called the lady from last night. I talked to her on the phone and she said that the rate is 78 and she NEVER said 44. That was real rip-off. So we paid 78, forgot even ask for the receipt (she did not offer, which she is supposed to do) and left.
