Whereas the hotel and grounds are most pleasant, the Reception efficiency is poor where you can be kept waiting by an empty desk for 5 minutes or more, the Zanzibar opens as and when they feel like it and the staff have a generally sullen and disinterested nature. Each year we thought,,,uumm, try again, it might be better this time...but "no" So no more stays here for us.

I got off to a bad start with this one because I thought it was in Dieppe, as is indicated in the Trip Advisor. Actually, it's almost 30 km away from Dieppe in a place called Eu (as I discovered when I asked for directions in Dieppe!!). But it turned out OK because Dieppe was packed with people (even though I was travelling in the third week in September) and frankly did not make the greatest impression. I was visiting Dieppe to look at the beaches and memorials to the failed raid by the Canadian army in 1942. So ending up outside of the city was OK, I could visit the key sites on my motorcycle without having to stay in the town. Anyway, the Cour Carree was very pleasant, located in the countryside but with modern facilities. Very quiet. The food was good, although dinner was served in a bar setting on coffee tables surrounded by sofas and armchairs. The room cost Euros 69, with breakfast another Euro 9 ... about par for a two-star French hotel.

Had big rooms; a huge garden with tables and chairs; reasonably priced meals, big breakfasts. Not located close to the sea (about 5 kms away); lots of parking; very quiet; terrific value small price for big rewards. Friendly staff.
