We had a week in this hotel in Ax les Thermes, what an ideal base. The family are out of this world, so friendly and helpful. Robert is the chef and his food is superb. If you stay half board there is a choice for starter and dessert not for main course, children get main course and dessert. But you know what, i have discovered we are gone beyond spoiled for choice, the food we got every night was just beautiful. Mind you i had to tell children that it was pork and chicken instead of calf and pigeon, but they thought it was the nicest chicken and pork ever!!
The rooms are warm and cosy and serviced every day by the ever helpful Linda, who is also the waitress, it was wonderful to have someone ask how was your day and be genuinely intersted. The rooms are perfectly adequate for a family. No hairdryer or kettle, but if requested Sylviane will be only too glad to provide you. They are so helpful. The breakfast is glorious, not your general croissant and coffee, there is meat, cheese, conserves, apple strudle, different breads and cakes, hot chocolate, coffee and a selection of Lipton teas. Now don't be expecting the Dorchester, this is a very comfortable, clean, cosy hotel with out of this world food for an unbelievable price.
