Set close to the town of Agen, but surrounded by countryside and pure silence, this castle holds a beautiful bed and breakfast. Prior booking is needed to join them for dinner, but there are other local restaurants as well. The castle has been lovingly restored with 5 large bedrooms with ensuite bath or showers. They even provide bathrobes and bicycles if you wish to explore. There is a swimming pool or if you are like us, plenty of space to just sit in the sun. The breakfast is pure French perfection with croissants etc and home made jam. We were also offered cake and yogurt and local prunes. We also had a dinner of fresh fish and salad with a starter and a pudding and cheese all for 25 euro! Rooms are 135 euro for two people for b and b. The cleanliness is of the highest order (and I am very very fussy!!) Thoroughly enjoyed my trip with my husband. Would highly recommend!

This is a stunnig renovation of a chateau which has taken two years to complete - beautifully furnished and situated in acres of parkland. It even has a chapel. The hosts - Jean-Francois and Chantal - cannot do enough for you and treat you as one of the family. The food is excellent and there is no timetable at this Chambres d'Hote. Excellent value fo rmoney and well worth a visit. W ahve promised to return!! At present they are looking to set up a spa and fitness centre but these facilites are not avaialble at present. There is, however, a swimmimg pool.
