Stayed in Hotel Orsan in May of this year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is by no means a luxury hotel with fine dining but rather cheap and cheerful! My partner and I happened upon this hotel by chance...it is normally reserved for French holiday groups but out of busy season you can stay here without prior reservations depending upon availability. Half board cost approximately €25 each and was certainly worth it! As it caters for mainly French tourists with organised activities during the day and evening, there is a certain French flavour to the evening buffet, with wine included! The food wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad either. The decor is somewhat outdated but our room was perfectly fine and had great seaviews across to the island of Korcula. It is located at the Viganj end of Orebic town and you can walk into town along the seafront...but be prepared for walking in complete darkness as a long stretch of the path was unlit! The hotel is directly on the sea and has it's own small shingle beach...be prepared for Croatian beaches...if you can get one person stretched out on a towel its a beach in Croatia! The hotel also has a swimmimg pool with great sea views! There was entertainment every evening which was cheesy but great fun...it also helps if you speak a little French! One evening I got to take part in a traditional Croatian dance! Staff were more than helpful, especially the bright and vivacious reception staff! If you are not too concerned about luxury surroundings and haute cuisine I would certainly recommend this hotel!
