Rather expensive average hotel far away from downtown Salzburg but besides the Designer Outlet area which can be rather annoying. As usual in Austria, very clean. Very nice breakfast though with a good choice including smoked salmon (OK not top notch but at least they tried not like others). We requested adjoining rooms connected by a door to no avail although the hotel was far from being fully booked. Warm welcome desk in German, English or French.

We arrived at the Austrian Trend Hotel West Salzburg at night and went into the reception and from there to our room.

The hotel entrance is nice - nothing to glamorous- simple and nice.

I really liked the room as they finally got the 'double bed' figured and set us up for a double bed. The room was really nice and clean with the carpets that nicely integrated with the rest of the room. Breakfast was great - full of food and a plethora of things to choose from - no complaint there!

I guess that the only major draw back here is the hotel's location - Its too far out of the city. In fact we had to take two buses to get to the city center and at minus below zero - its simply not good enough!

My stay here was OK, just ok, the rooms were quite small and the whole hotel had the feel of a leisure centre but it served its purpose. Breakfast was good and was much needed after a late night the night before. The location is very easy to get to from the Autobahn and is next to an outlet Shopping centre which was not jaw-dropping but had some interesting shops. Salzburg Mitte is about 10 KM away in car. Overall, it was what you would expect from a mid-range practical hotel, not many thrills but served a purpose.

I stayed here recently on tour with my wife. The staff were excellent and friendly, the rooms are good if not a bit bland, as I am finding myself forgetting what they were like even now. But nevertheless comfortable, clean and reasonably appointed.

We had an evening meal included in the deal and it was so good that my wife, who is notoriously fussy, eat it all without a sidewards glance. Believe me that is an achievement.

It is sort of in the middle of nowhere but with a good bar and good food you should be fine staying here. I would recomment this hotel to anyone.
