We returned to Dorfgastein and Appartementhaus Haussteiner for our first Skiing Holiday after our visit 18 month ago in the Summer. We booked direct and took the offer of the "Learn to Ski" package run by Ski Amade. It is a very good value package for first time skiers like us, it includes the accommodation, ski hire, ski pass and lessons. It was perfect! Everything went smoothly and we all really enjoyed ourselves, and even etter we could all ski by the end of the week!

Dorfgastein proved the perfect place to learn to Ski, the slopes were quiet and the teachers patient. Combine that with the lovely Appartementhaus Haussteiner and we found ourselves on our perfect Ski Holiday.

The wellness area of Haussteiner makes for the perfect place to rest your muscles after a long day on the slopes. It is spotless but nude only, so be warned if you blush easily !!!

If you are looking for a place to learn to ski I think this would be hard to beat, the village provides everything you need, but it isn't a party town, but the one night club, Jurgen's Kuh Bar, gives you the full on Alpine Party late in to the night.
