We stayed for one night on the way out to Mabul - We arrived late and left early the next morning to go out to Mabul. Its a perfect location as its right on the water and its a one minute walk to the get the boat out. Its a large sprawling floating hotel which in itself is unique. We stayed in a standard room it was large with aircon but no window. It was well furnished bathroom was a bit basic but for one night it was fine. You get towels, and soap and a toilet roll upon check in.. Breakfast was 2 slices of toast and tea or coffee. They offer a selection of rooms and i thought it was good value. the only drawback was that the walls were really thin and whoever was next door had the tv on all night - didnt bother us as we had earplugs. Overall basic but you get what you pay for and i dont see the point in staying in Semporna more than one night - much better to get out to one of the islands. I would stay here again if it was just for one night.

This Floating Resort Hotel sits by the Waterfront. Stayed two nights here, 1st night stayed on a Twin Room cost RM99 where the room was located near the Reception & 2nd night a Double Room cost RM66 where the room was located at the last row of the Resort/Hotel. The Resort/Hotel consist of few rows of rooms where the Reception is on the 1st row. Room size between rooms are same only the location different. Room A/C is not strong but usable. A wardrobe are provided in the room to hang clothers but smell old & musky. Cheaper hotels can be found at the town area within walking distance. Breakfast is provided consist of 2 toast & a cup of Tea/Coffee.

I really love this resort, I dont expect a 5 stars treatment because it is not. Many price range and type of rooms... suitable for family, couple, solo travellers and backpackers.

The dorm is RM20 per night (no towel provided)(soap provided) but really match with their price.... and the standard room which is RM66 (towel & soap provided) the cheapest located back of the resort but no a big problem...room and toilet is clean and I don't encounter any rat at all during my 2 night stay... nice place to stay if you need a place to sleep before go to Mabul/Sipadan Island.

Very basic breakfast. The staff at reception is also friendly and helpful. Overall it is real value for money. Definitely come back.

It is extremely noisy here as the walls are just bamboo type material and it right out in the port so there is a lots of noisy boat traffic.

The bathrooms are smelly, dark, have squat toilets and cold showers so basic but OK.

The hotel is known around Semporna to have rats but I decided to go for rats over bedbugs (Scuba Junkie hostel). I didn't expect to end up with one on my bed though! I moved beds from the corner to the middle and it was fine, at least the rats didn't do me any harm. Semporna is a dump overall to be honest!
