We camped here for one night, and just loved the location of this campground - by the beautiful clean beach. The campsites were large enough for our huge 8-person tent. There were a good number of showers n toilets and they were fairly clean.
However, it was the middle of the holiday season and the whole place was packed with people. The place was probably even booked above the allowed capacity as some caravans and tents from some campsites were spilling into the lanes.
The staff was quite rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. When we arrived, we went straight to the boom-gate to collect our access-code as we had paid in advance. But they dint have our "welcome" package ready. And yet the lady at the gate yelled at us for not stopping at an obscure faded white line a few meters before the boom-gate, which was supposed to be a parking-bay. Also, there were no clear signs indicating where we were supposed to park before check-in. To add to this, the site that was allocated to us by the staff was already occupied by someone else, and the only staff-member at the gate after 5 pm said she could not do anything about it till next day. Luckily there was another campsite next to the allocated one that was still empty and we settled in there.
And during the peak holiday season, they charge almost thrice the normal rates! We paid $53 for 3 people for 1 night-camping, when non-peak rates are $17!
Consider other camping options especially the state govt ones, if visiting this area.
