“Nicely located; Good facilities; Expensive; Somewhat rude/unfriendly staff”

We camped here for one night, and just loved the location of this campground - by the beautiful clean beach. The campsites were large enough for our huge 8-person tent. There were a good number of showers n toilets and they were fairly clean.

However, it was the middle of the holiday season and the whole place was packed with people. The place was probably even booked above the allowed capacity as some caravans and tents from some campsites were spilling into the lanes.

The staff was quite rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. When we arrived, we went straight to the boom-gate to collect our access-code as we had paid in advance. But they dint have our "welcome" package ready. And yet the lady at the gate yelled at us for not stopping at an obscure faded white line a few meters before the boom-gate, which was supposed to be a parking-bay. Also, there were no clear signs indicating where we were supposed to park before check-in. To add to this, the site that was allocated to us by the staff was already occupied by someone else, and the only staff-member at the gate after 5 pm said she could not do anything about it till next day. Luckily there was another campsite next to the allocated one that was still empty and we settled in there.

And during the peak holiday season, they charge almost thrice the normal rates! We paid $53 for 3 people for 1 night-camping, when non-peak rates are $17!

Consider other camping options especially the state govt ones, if visiting this area.

“Rude Managers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

The owners are the rudest people I have ever come across, they make Basil Fawlty look pleasant. We had both of them screaming at us on arrival as we did not stop on their stop sign but went past half a car length even after an apology as we did not see in time as were tired . The sites were so cramped that you could not park your car and use your awning and no water so $25 for electricty only is steep. The park is large so plenty of room but not powered sites - should have stayed there with at least some room. The worst facilities and hospitality I have come across in a caravan park. Stay away!!!!!!

“nice break”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

We have just had a lovely couple of days at Kioloa Beach Holiday Park. We were off season as we had dogs with us and it was a great location as the dogs could run free along the beach. The amenities were clean although the washing machines weren't working. The only real down side to the park was that there was no mobile or internet service.

“Bad Management”

We booked for 2 nights in a cabin and arrived at about 9pm Friday night and checked in. To our surprise we later found that the main bed only had a top and bottom sheet, no blanket or doona. Upon contacting the Manager he refused to provide a blanket until the morning at a cost and advised to use the heater provided to heat the room. Their policy is that a blanket is not included in their definition of linen provided. We have been to this holiday park numerous times over the past 10 years but never again will we return.
