“Beautiful views, clean and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

I have stayed at Corriechoille twice in the past week. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had two large windows, one with a view of the mountains and the other with a lovely window seat looking out toward the front of the house. It was absolutely quiet, beautifully decorated, and very restful. It is quite easy to find if you take your time with the directions!

“Truly Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2010

This is one of the most relaxing and pleasant guest houses I have ever stayed in. The service and food and ambience are second to none. The setting is great - views back towards the Ben Nevis ranges.

“Best of the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2010

To be fair, I must admit our visits were actually about five years ago...several of them over a two year period. While shopping at a Home Depot yesterday I ran across a beautiful lilly plant whose aroma took me back in time to the memory of the special time we spent at Corriechoille. There are always lillies in the receiving area! Our family lived in Aberdeen for two years, 2002-2004, and we made several trips to the west of Scotland, each time staying at Corriechoille. It is such a peaceful, beautiful setting in which to find quiet rest after driving to the many beautiful and historic places in this part of Scotland. The rooms are spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. I would advise eating every meal there that you can possibly fit into your sight-seeing schedule. I hope to visit again soon!

“Simply the best accommodation you can get”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2010

I have stayed at Corriechollie three times and been unable to get rooms twice more as it was booked solid weeks in advance. This was very frustrating as, although the other accommodation we found was very good indeed by any standards, NOTHING compares to Corriechollie.

The lodge is a couple of miles off the main road and is delightfully isolated amidst glorious mountain scenery. The former hunting lodge has great historic charm and it feels as if you have travelled back to a former age. On arrival, coffee is offered and from that moment, Justin and Lucy do everything possible to make you feel at home. The rooms are well furnished and spacious and there is the most beautiful guest sitting room with many books and views to die for. Drinks are available on request, the Fraoch Heather Ale being my favourite. You will always get a good nights sleep; one thing you notice is the complete, utter silence due to the isolation. Under no circumstances forget to order an evening meal; Lucy is an extremely accomplished cook and her food is absolutely delicious, using the best local Scottish ingredients. If you have any likes or dislikes, these will be catered for. Breakfast is also of the highest quality and Justin's service is very efficient and friendly but very unobtrusive.

All in all, this is unquestionably the best accommodation in Scotland and is always my first choice if I can get in. Unhesitatingly recommended for anyone who likes peace, quiet and wonderful scenery combined with excellent food and service.

“Excellent location, great food, warm wlcome what more could you want.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2009

Very peaceful for either a short or long break with plenty to do in the surrounding countryside picnics, walking, climbing, skiing etc.
The food was very good but do let them know about your dislikes before you go and have at least one evening meal or you'll miss a treat.
Internet access available with a nominal charge if you really do have to check your e-mail.
