I have stayed at Corriechollie three times and been unable to get rooms twice more as it was booked solid weeks in advance. This was very frustrating as, although the other accommodation we found was very good indeed by any standards, NOTHING compares to Corriechollie.
The lodge is a couple of miles off the main road and is delightfully isolated amidst glorious mountain scenery. The former hunting lodge has great historic charm and it feels as if you have travelled back to a former age. On arrival, coffee is offered and from that moment, Justin and Lucy do everything possible to make you feel at home. The rooms are well furnished and spacious and there is the most beautiful guest sitting room with many books and views to die for. Drinks are available on request, the Fraoch Heather Ale being my favourite. You will always get a good nights sleep; one thing you notice is the complete, utter silence due to the isolation. Under no circumstances forget to order an evening meal; Lucy is an extremely accomplished cook and her food is absolutely delicious, using the best local Scottish ingredients. If you have any likes or dislikes, these will be catered for. Breakfast is also of the highest quality and Justin's service is very efficient and friendly but very unobtrusive.
All in all, this is unquestionably the best accommodation in Scotland and is always my first choice if I can get in. Unhesitatingly recommended for anyone who likes peace, quiet and wonderful scenery combined with excellent food and service.
