“A lovely stay”

We stayed at the old pines in June of this year , it is like a home away from home , the bedrooms are immaculately clean with a good quality finish and some nice touches with home made biscuits in your room , and fresh tea or coffee when you arrive back after a days sightseeing , service is great , really warm and friendly you really do feel like you are staying with a family, the food is superb , the menu may not be extensive but the taste more than makes up for it and is really well executed , nothing was too much trouble and the setting is spectacular , we would certainly recommend the old pines as a relaxing ,good quality friendly place to stay.

“Love it!”

We have stayed at this small but beautiful hotel on three occasions when making the long journey from Wales to the outer hebrides and I promise you it is well worth a visit. Although it is small it offers plenty of privacy for guests when enjoying pre or post meal drinks. The food is excellent and the owners are friendly. We will most certainly return.

Room Tip: We have stayed in different rooms each time and have not been disappointed.

“Stunning location, restful stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

Lots of nice touches like tea and cake on arrival and each afternoon after coming in from long walks and wonderful breakfasts. Evening meals were variable - starters and puddings excellent but mains not so much. Strange thing after first night - bed didn't look properly made, almost as if someone had been disturbed midway through making it up. This only did happen the once though. All in all a wonderful stay and we'd certainly return.

“what a spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

As wrinkles with rather definite ideas, it was great to find Old Pines. Every home cooked, comfy rooms, and a pleasant three days. And the views and area. Wow! We shall surely return.

Room Tip: We were disappointed at first that we had a garden room (ie, not overlooking Ben Nevis) but we need...

“The Perfect getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

If you are looking for the perfect getaway in the Fort William area then look no further than the Old Pines Hotel,
Made to feel very welcome by the owner who gave us some great advise on planning our days out,
The room was well equipped very clean and comfortable, The breakfast menu was excellent with the choices from a full Scottish breakfast to Smoked salmon with scrambled egg to home made porridge, ( all delicious )

The quality of the evening meals was of a very high standard ( best cheesecake I have ever tasted )
The comfortable lounge was the the perfect place to retire to after Dinner and to sample a wee dram from the varied selection of whiskies available
