The whole hotel needs a bit of detention to detail - the staff was friendly - but just did not see the massive cobwebs above the buffet area, or the dust on the shelfs........... i dont think anybody cares about the hotel

The whole place looked like it had been a while since it had been decorated.
The staff were nice and friendly, the food was ok, breakfast good. The spa pool and sauna were tiny but we had them to ourselves mostly so it was quite nice and relaxing.
We did find a smashed glass in the corridor and there were dirty towels behind our bathroom door, but the room was comfortable and the rest was pretty clean.
I had no idea there was an outdoor pool though until I just saw the photos! Might have been because we visited in April though....

well where too start, arrived at the hotel and got sent to a room that already had people in it, went back too reception and the girl (lynsey) apologised and there was a confusion to do with (katherine) when we booked. finally got a room that looked as if i hadn't been cleaned for several years: toilet had urine on the seat, found a USED condom under the bed, hair in the bath, toothpaste on the tap and the overall smell of stale fags! went down for dinner still not happy, met by the polish restaurant manager (flory) hom had a face like a wet weekend and had a serious attitude problem, me and my patner watched her how se acted whilst having dinner, she needs too get of her high horse and treat her staff right instead of bossing them around, when we left the restaurant we had to find someone to get our bill, finally after waiting 20 minutes a nice lad (matt) presented our bill! we spoke again with lynsey and we passed complimentsonto the chef (jon) fabulous cook! when we was talking too lynsey, flory appeared with dinner in her hand and sat on the desk eating it (not a care in the world)! didnt have breakfast, couldnt wait too get out the place! never staying here again! at least until it has been refurbished, cleaned and got some better staff!

After arriving on the 23RD December , Hungry , was greeted by the "GREAT NEWS" that no FOOD was available. We were informed that this was because of Arkwrights xmas party , not a great start.Let me quote from the Brook Hotel Book, "Traditional 3 course evening dinner with some musical entertainment...a cd player in the corner of the room not quite what i read into.
CHRISTMAS EVE......And let me quote again..."Carol singers whilst your 3 course dinner is served" They were very quiet and seemed invisible to me!! "Follwed by a professional keyboard player" who was also quiet and invisible.When we asked about the keyboard we were informed that the hotel didnt even have one.
CHRISTMAS DAY.... We had a go on the xmas hamper that was not drawn till the 27th December! We didnt realise they meant next years hamper !
BOXING DAY......WE WERE JOINED BY A WEDDING PARTY, SO WE COULD NOT EVEN GET IN THE BAR FOR A DRINK. THE ROOM THEY WERE IN SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUR "SPEND THE AFTERNOON RELAXING AROUND THE HOTEL" WHAT THEY REALLY MEANT WAS GO AND RELAX IN YOUR ROOM.NOTE DONT ASK FOR CARLING CAUSE THEY SOLD OUT !
DONT WANT TO CARRY ON AND ON ABOUT LACK OF STAFF, TV NOT WORKING AND TRANSPORT PROVIDED FOR MIDNIGHT MASS ALL TOGETHER A REALLY DISAPPOINTING BREAK, WE WERE MISSOLD THE WHOLE CHRISTMAS PACKAGE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL OR PACKAGE BREAK TO ANYBODY.
