“Peaceful rural retreat”

We stayed 2 nights here in October and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The pool setting looking over the countryside is spectacular - and being able to pick a fresh fig from the tree overhanging the terrace was lovely. The room was large and comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. There is a comfortable lounge area with an honesty system for purchasing drinks, and breakfast on the terrace under the trees is fresh and delicious. The 1.5km walk into Kayakoy along the village lanes is charming, and there are some great places to eat in the village. On our first night we had a meal at the hotel and it was simple but delicious. We also enjoyed the walk from Kayakoy (behind the church in the abandoned village) through the pine forests to Olu Deniz. Look for the (white?) markings though as it's easy to stray off the path. This is a lovely relaxing spot to enjoy Turkish rural life with all the comforts of home.

“Relax in rural setting”

We stayed at Misafir Evi for a week in September this year. The hotel is located in an idyllic village away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby resort towns. The rooms were very clean and we had plenty of hot water. We ate breakfast daily which consisted of local chesses, breads and other delights as well as plenty of tea and coffee. We also ate dinner at the hotel one night and the food was some of the best we ate in the week.
The staff are very friendly and very helpful when we were looking to do some hiking though the abandoned village and down to Olu Deniz. Make sure you take some time to lie by the pool in one of the hammocks and enjoy a cold beer from the bar whilst watching the sun go down.
I would highly recommend the hotel for a relaxing stay in a beautiful part of Turkey.

“Relaxed friendly guesthouse in beautiful setting”

A clean, spacious, and friendly guesthouse. Beautiful pool with amazing sunset views from the terrace. Really relaxed atmosphere, with an 'honesty bar', and hosts glad to assist with any request. The breakfasts were generous, and the one dinner that we had, absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!!

“Excellent stay - perfect for few days relaxing”

During an active trip through Turkey in July 2011, we - a family with 3 children - stayed 3 nights in Misafir Evi. It turned out to be a good spot to recharge our energy levels.

The tranquile environment, the spacious room and the splendid sunset from the pool-terras form a good start. Paired with the staff's hospitality and drive to make all of us feel good made it a perfect stay. Also the food was very nice and prepared with love. Self service drinks demonstrate the easy-going attitude.

The environment is quiet, which is what we were looking for and what one can expect from the "dead villlage" formed in Kaya Koy. Kaya Koy site itself is interesting visit.

“Another one to return to in our favorite valley”

We didn't actually stay at Misafir but at the cottage next door, we were given use of the pool and all the wonderful service it provided. Filiz is so special, she cooked us a meal the first night we were there and it was absolutely delicious, home made and served with love from the staff. The atmosphere is so relaxed and nothing is too much trouble. We hope to go back to Kaya in September and will certainly return to have great food in perfect Turkish surroundings.
