Booked one night here via GTA as it was close to Pisa Airport for our flight home.

The hotel is situated on the dual carriageway from Pisa/Livorno to Florence. If you are travelling from Florence then you must take the exit AFTER Pontedera and return on the other side of the dual carriageway back towards Florence. This is a minor inconvenience and don't let it put you off.

Despite being sited in a service area on a very busy dual carriageway, no noise penetrates the building and the beds were clean and comfortable. We had a room on the ground floor and enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. The hotel is very clean and the bedroom was large and comfortable - everything still had an air of newness about it.

The reception staff were absolutely fantastic. Check in was very efficient. I later had a question about how the shower worked and went to the reception. They were dealing with a largeish group of arrivals but one of the staff returned immediately with me to show how the shower worked. We also wanted to use the train to visit Pisa and asked at reception who supplied a map showing a very easy (and quiet way) to drive to the railway station and which car park was free to use.

We were not very impressed with the restaurants when we were in Pisa so decided to have our evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Again the staff were excellent and the food was rather good - both tasty and well presented.

Breakfast next morning was buffet style but an excellent selection was available - not just your normal bread/meats/cheese but a toaster was available as well as pastries and a selection of sweet items. Kelloggs cereals and hot scrambled eggs and bacon were also available.

I would recommend this hotel without reservation and would certainly use it again if I was travelling via Pisa Airport, either as a first night stop if I had some distance to travel following an afternoon arrival or as a last night stop over prior to flying home.
