The hotel had been recently painted, the decoration pleasant if a little sparse. The hotel had a family atmosphere despite being reasonably large. The food was very good, served in a buffet style. No need to have pasta the whole time (or at all) if you dont wish to! The deserts were excellent. I had a lake view, well worth it in my opinion. Tremezzo is very well situated for exploring Lake Como. Hotel Bazzoni is next to a local supermarket with the boat port, bus stop and pharmacy all within about 50 yards. There was even a UK shaver point! Unfortunately there is a flight of stairs to reach the lifts. Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations.

we stayed for a week at the end of September. we went with Inghams on an 'all inclusive' type deal. The location was outstanding - we had a view of fantastic lake Como from our balcony. The food was very good. Possibly the best ravioli we have ever had. there was a good choice each evening and as much as you could eat. The bus and ferry stop were outside the hotel so it was ideal for exploring the area. The staff were very helpful and the the room was clean and comfortable. All in all a wonderful, memorable week and we were sorry to have to leave!

We enjoyed our week at the Bazzoni Hotel. Make sure you request a room with a lake view as sunrise/sunset is stunning. For me, the mattress on the bed was quite hard. I've read various remarks, but overall I thought the food was good. We stayed half board and I enjoyed the evening buffet. We had positive experiences with the Bazzoni staff as they were polite and helpful throughout the week. As a base, the location of this hotel is excellent, there is a buzz in terms of the atmosphere (not the wasps!) and I'd definitely recommend it. The Bazzoni Hotel is beside a bank, three lovely cafe/restaurants, boat/ferry terminal, tourist information, bus stop and butcher shop (where you can stock up on water/snacks and purchase bus tickets) However I found the staff at the butcher shop (beside Bazzoni Hotel) rude, unhelpful and impatient. You can also buy your bus tickets from the newsagents close to the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia (5/10 min walk approx from Bazzoni)

Although we had secured our reservation over 2 months in advance, 2 weeks before our trip our group was informed that they were overbooked and our reservation would not be honored. After working with booking.com, they agreed to find us another hotel. The published rate of this hotel was almost 1/2 the cost at the Bazzoni yet they charged us the original amount. When we stopped by to speak personally with the manager. He said we need to deal with booking.com directly and would do nothing to improve the situation. So if you book here, know you are taking a risk. They feel no obligation to honor their reservations.
