“Beautiful property we'd love to return to!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2011

A little gem among the Amalfi Coast towns, and a convenient base to explore the Amalfi Coast (without paying an arm and a leg for a room). Definitely eat at the hoteol restaurant too as it is very good. We really enjoyed the personal attention of the hotel's team and this is where we'd love to stay again next time we're in the area!

“As Good As It Gets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2011

Actually stayed in April 2009 but computer didn't go any earlier. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We purchased through Luxury Link. Upon arrival we were treated like a king and queen and the staff never stopped going out of their way for us. When we commented that we had to go to Sorrento to pick up a car we had previously arranged to have for the remainder of our trip, the staff called the car company and had the car delivered to us. Saved us an entire day. Nothing like lounging at the pool and having the beach staff come up and say "your car has arrived." The resort is located between Positano and Amalfi. The van took you where ever you wanted to go. The driver never minded deviating from the route to drop you off. The room was beautiful, the resort located on the mountain overlooking the sea, just spectacular. We had the ten course dinner, excellent. My wife doesn't eat seafood and they changed the whole menu for her. A tour of the wine cellar finished the meal. The staff made dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant. The van driver drove us there but could not pick us up due to other commitments. We asked for a cab after the wonderful meal, the owner came over to us and insisted he drive us to the resort. I cannot recommend more highly, great place but even greater people

“Relaxing hotel, terrific service - lovely weekend break!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2011

Staff at the Furore Inn went above and beyond to make our short stay really pleasant. We loved the food in the restaurant - they even made special substitutions for my husband who is allergic to gluten. The pools are wonderful, especially in the late afternoons overlooking the tremendous view. Great location for day trips to nearby scenic villages. We can't wait to go back!

“when we walked into the hotel we felt as if wehad just come home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2010

I had booked and rebooked this reservation about six times so when we finally arrived I expected snarky looks and a room over the trash compactor. Instead I was greated like a beloved but whimsical family member. "You have come at last:!" .

So this is where it is: carved into a cliff overlooking the sea. Three pools although I found it hard to leave my lounge next to the olympic sized infinity pool that is the centerpiece of the hotel so I cannot comment on the other two.

My husband has mobilty issues and they had arranged a room where he could be comfortable without feeling as though he came off the "short bus". Our accommodations were superb. A huge room, sitting area and bath. Seriously; for Europe, it was the bridal suite. Tile floors, great linens, every room overlooking the sea, and an enclosed patio.

I would take the jitney (complementary) into Amalfi to shop at the market for cheese, olive oil, sausage and tomatoes and such wonderful bread and we would feast on our patio. If we wanted lunch elsewhere we would wander onto the patio over the sea for lobster salads, fresh pastas or things involving octopui if you are brave. Red was.

I know; I am gushing but I have never written a review on this or any other site but felt compelled to do so after such a magnificent experience. Trust me, I have standards and astonishingly, Furore Innexceeded expectations.

Here's an interesting thing: Now this is a medium sized hotel but somehow it is laid out so you feel it's "your place"; just yours. Yet the hotel was full. We only met the other guests, mostly European, when we chose to. And when we chose to be sociable we had a spacious patio to sit on over looking the sea with waiters with wonderful wines and hors d oeuvres. What I'm trying to say is this: if you wanted company, it was available. If you wanted to Garbo it, that worked too,

And of course, Amalfi, Positano, Capri were a moment away thanks to the jitney. We enjoyed them all was happy each night to come "home",

One last thing and I will risk your thinking I own the hotel and am trying to drum up business. The restaurant! Five star and worth every star. We ate every meal there but I know one is supposed to suggest improvements; it might have been nice to have a joint nearby. Perhaps they should pass out a list of nearby places for a variety of meals should you be bored and want to experiment. We were not.

One last thing: the people who make it all work. the hotel manager is there most days; each person at the desk knows your name and is eager to help. I didn't see the support staff as they did wonderful things in our room or with arrangements that I did not have an opportunity to acknowledge. My husband and I have traveled the world. This is our new home away from home.

My adivice? Go there. ASAP Say Red and Millee sent you. We cannot wait to get back.

“An absolute gem of a resort!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2010

Having stayed here twice in two years, this is a secret I would prefer to keep to myself!
It's a slice of heaven, tranquil, picturesesque and a real tonic to life at home. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the views are to die for and the food in the restaurant is magnificent, with staff whose advice we both valued and enjoyed. With beautiful pools and the offer of spa treatments in such a beautiful part of Italy, we couldn't have asked for anything more!
