All the complaints...

Just arrived after a week Latino Bay, and I loved it!

Can't help saying, that the Dutch and Englisch are the worst people on holiday being tourists, eventhough I'm Dutch myself.
I've seen other Dutch people treating the friendly manageress very rude, which was very embarresing, and unfair.

The food was OK, so I don't understand the complaints. For the Englisch there was plenty and plenty of Englisch breakfast. The food was thought over well concidered, there was allways plenty of food, for all taste.

The staff at the bars (Anastasia, Dimitri, the Polish guy, the Slowakian guy at the beachbar, Ivar in the restaurant) really gave you the idea that you were "special", they knew after two days what you wanted to drink, so you didn't even had to ask for it, they brought it to you themselves.

Thank you, people at Latino Bay, for this wonderfull holiday, we'll be back for sure!

we recently returned from this hotel, everything was going ok weather really hot most staff frienldy apart from manageress on reception, which is not good, she made it clear to us and another couple she doesn't like brits.
its meant to be a 24 hour reception but there is not always someone there,plus the sister hotel,forum beach is about an hours walk away. it also says you can change money up at latino bay but when ask they sent us elsewhere!!
there are other misleading things in brochure which shows a sandy beach but it is pebbly, also says there is regular entertainment , if you call three times a week regular,it was cheap too. also mini bar is not what i would call a mini bar it was a fridge with two little bottles of pop, bottle of water and a can of beer. maid service was not always good some days we didn't get right amount of towels and some people were given too many but i wouldn't bother complaining as manageress is rude and unhelpful.we feel it was very over priced for what you got. complaints are not dealt with in the right manner,i.e manageress becomes rude and aggressive.

I returned from this hotel yesterday and have to write straight away to warn people who may be comtemplating staying there...........DON'T DO IT!!

We arrived in the dead of night and were rather concerned when the receptionist told us to take steps DOWN to find our room, having requested a high floor it seemed odd and we were right to be concerned. We had a room with a terrace that was subterranean and if you managed to look around the bush in front of the high wall round the terrace, we had a view of the pool bar, not very attractive and certainly not what you would expect when you had booked almost 6 months prior to visiting. The ridiculous thing was that the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms with what must have been marvellous sea views, carried no additional cost. I complained about the room in the morning but was told the only vacant room (on the 3rd floor) had no mini bar or TV but we could have that. No discount was offered for the rubbish room we had though. The rooms are small and dark and basic to say the least.

On visiting the pool area (which was lovely) and the restaurant I think we realised that the best rooms were reserved for the huge amount of Germans staying there. In fact we met only 3 other British couples in the whole week we were there.

The food was ok for a couple of days but became very repetitive and unimaginative.

The beach area is nice but the beach is shingle and rather weedy.

Worse of all came the last night when we were lying on the bed playing cards and a cockroach....yes a cockroach walked across the bed sheets. Needless to say we didn't get any sleep that night even though we killed it.
The evening entertainment is non-existant considering the hotel is a good way out of the village.

I have to say the staff are very friendly and are the best thing about the hotel.

I would definitely say, if you are told that your room is downstairs from reception, refuse to take it. I wondered if our rooms close proximity to the pool bar may have accounted for the cockroach, at least I hope it was just a isolated incident.

We had fantastic weather which was our saviour as we didn't have to spend much time in our room except at night.

I would definitely say that 3*+ is over rating this hotel big time.

This is a lovely hotel, quiet and relaxing. The pool area is stunning and the staff mega friendly. DON'T go there if you expect an action-packed all inclusive or if you need to be constantly entertained on holiday; but if you like a little local colour and a lot of chilling out it's perfect.

We found the food to be pretty good; lots of choice at breakfast and plenty to suit all palates. Yes, it's fairly rustic and no, burgers and chips aren't an option but again, there are an number of all inclusive hotels that cater for you if that's what you like.

When you feel sad to leave a hotel, and when the staff are hugging you on departure, you know you've found something special.
