Just back from Latino Bay which was supposed to be an all inclusive, week long, romantic, adult only break. It never really lived up to what we expected. I wish I had seen other peoples comments before we spent our hard earned cash.
Yes, the swimming pool is fabulously clean relaxing and filled with couples of all ages.
The room are small, dark and lack any decent air con. There was a tv but you would never want to sit in the room to watch it. Mini bar basic, safe had to be paid for (20 Euro)
On arrival the chap dealing with us was not concerned about us and rushed through facilities we realised later were not even in our hotal. We had to ask where are room was only to be told is what the 1st or 2nd floor (no lift or assistance with cases) This chap loves his mobile phone and would rather spend time with it than with you.
I too felt the Brits were really thin on the ground here and dare I say we are probably not the most favoured of guests in this hotel.
Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful but obviously had a better grasp of German and dutch (not a criticism only an observation)
The evening entertainment is non existent except for a man with a key board on Sunday evening.
The food is repetitive and rehashed from the night before. Not entirely sure it is made on site? We had a meal locally that had the most amazing seafood and wished we had not decided to be hooked into the all exclusive deals again. However, it was not cheap but would say it was worth it!
Don't be fooled by the inticement of watersports and volleyball they are not what they appear. Beach very close but stoney. Weather was gorgeous. We excpect way more for a 4*hotel

We have just returned from a week stay at the Latino Bay hotel! we absolutally loved it, it's couples only so no children. it has the most relaxing atmosphere and wonderful views! the pool area is lovely, rooms are fine and the hotel staff are very friendly. we had the unfortunate transfer time of 2.30am and had to check out of our room at 12 midday, but the hotel manager etc. were so helpful and let us use shower facilities etc. and even kept the bar open for us and kept offering coffee (which was needed at that time of the morning!!) The only not so good thing was the food, it was quite repetetive but there was always something to chose (mostly chips and greek salad!) but as we found everywhere in rhodes, when we ate out, the food was exactly the same from one restaurant to the next!
We loved our holiday and would definately recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic holiday in a good location, near to lots of shops and bars. Also recommended, boat trips to Lindos and the beach pleasure cruise!!

rite now 1st off i now know me and greece do not agree as bad prickley heat! but any ways the hotel...my 1st 2 week stay there started off amazing BUT 3 days into our holiday we got told we were being thrown out onto the streets as the hotel was closing due to not enough ppl staying yea iknow WTF were they thinking? we got thrown freom a quiet ADULTS ONLY hotel to a massively loud family hotel the Forum beach 20 mins down the street. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! it was horrible kids everywhere!now i dont normally complin bout kids on holiday but this was more like a school with no disciplin! so after complaining 1st off to get to stay in a hotel and not the street we wanted compensation so we got a free all inc week. 1st stay was 2004. 2nd stay 2005. okay this one was worst than ever room on top floor with no lift and nobody to help with bags! not being 2 girls this time we had HEAVY bags! the best thing was prob the sea viev but the doors did not lock there were dead bugs in the room never cleaned away the whole holiday, the maids stole me sweets! and were cockroaches on the balcany! now we never felt safe in our room as the bar man yannis or sumfin was perving over us whole holiday! how ever friendly he was he was scary! food was cold cold cold warm cold warm and pants! both visits cold food BUT dessert was fab! especially the white mousse! over all i wud rate this hotel no more than a 2* it was that basic. athena the manager was smiley when she wanted to be but that was all. best bit of both holidays was leaving. 1st time thomas cook almost refused to let us on the coach! 2nd time we got taxi to airport and yannis was there waving us bye!! so if you are into bugs being thrown to the street and cold food do come to latino bay!

Just arrived after a week Latino Bay, and I loved it!

Can't help saying, that the Dutch and Englisch are the worst people on holiday being tourists, eventhough I'm Dutch myself.
I've seen other Dutch people treating the friendly manageress very rude, which was very embarresing, and unfair.

The food was OK, so I don't understand the complaints. For the Englisch there was plenty and plenty of Englisch breakfast. The food was thought over well concidered, there was allways plenty of food, for all taste.

The staff at the bars (Anastasia, Dimitri, the Polish guy, the Slowakian guy at the beachbar, Ivar in the restaurant) really gave you the idea that you were "special", they knew after two days what you wanted to drink, so you didn't even had to ask for it, they brought it to you themselves.

Thank you, people at Latino Bay, for this wonderfull holiday, we'll be back for sure!
