We booked the all inclusive holiday via teletext, but learning on our arrival, we were actually sent photos of the Sunrise Hotel in Pefki Rhodes. On reading the reviews on the Sunrise hotel we were more than delighted to book.
On arrival to Rhodes, we were taken to the Golden Sunrise Hotel in Gennadi. To say this accomadation was basic is actually giving it credit. The all inclusive facilities only included beer, wine and ouzo and did not include soft drinks or tea and coffee. The breakfast consisted of bread, butter, boiled eggs and cheese, and there was no option for cereals or english breakfast. Also there was only one sitting if you were up a little earlier or later than expected. There was no main meal option either on a lunch time, and by evening meal we had moved to a different hotel.
There was no entertainment around the pool and basically it was to a standard not expected when booking all inclusive.
The possitive side was that Andreous, the owner, accepted that what he was offering in his contract with the travel companies was not what his clients had been sold prior to the holiday. He was extremely friendly and allowed us to use his internet to seek alternative accomodation.
Other guests who visited at the same time also had been mis informed about both the hotel and the all inclusive contents.
Families with children need to know that there is no free ice creams or entertainment team programme to keep the kids entertained.
The rooms were clean but were behind the times which lacked basic comfort.
Although only staying one night, which was due to us arriving late. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting an all inclusive holiday.
