We stayed at the Pink Elephant that is situated inside the walled city in May. The rooms were clean, very basic, cheap and a stone's throw from the medieval town. The lady in charge, Maria is Italian and speaks greek, french, englisnh and italian.
Getting to the hotel is a bit of a challenge as the maze of small streets turn and meander around ancient ruins, old mosques and fountains. Breakfast consists of coffee, juice, breads and cakes, 5 euros. I would recommend this small hotel to the backpackers and travellers that dont mind a bit of a walk to save a few bucks.
