“Photoshop is your best friend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Photoshop is something the spend the most enrgy in, because we couldnt find it in hospitality or servic, ubfriendly reception, the swimming pool is clean, but there is no sun only between 15:00 until 16:30 because of the size of this hotel, and the kitchen is poor. Noisy corridor ( stairs and elevator's). Rhodos by the way is perfect and we had a great stay.

“Hotel is fine. Service questionable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2010

I usually don't pay much attention to reviews in Tripadvisors when they mention how rude or "unsmiling" the staff at reception are. I usually just want a clean room and a good location. About the staff, I just ask for them to be efficient in check-in/check-out and in solving any problems that may arise. But now, I am going to make an exception. Never in my life I felt treated with so much unfriendliness in a hotel. I am talking about one of the 4 persons at reception that we met. I felt as if I was considered a despicable creature every time I approached this person (such a look of contempt), and this is not acceptable. I am sorry that any foreign tourist staying at this hotel will get an utterly wrong impression of the Greek people (the loveliest and most friendly people I have ever met, by the way). Facts: This is the only place in Greece where I had to fill the guest card myself. Not a big deal, but it was late at night, we were tired, and this person was not busy at all. Second, they have information about car rental. We asked about rates, and she just signaled with her head to a booklet next to her. No attempt to explain anything. Third: on checkout we wanted to pay with a credit card, and she said that "the machine is broken". And, you know, I did not believe it. It is fine a hotel that does not take credit cards, but if they say they do, they should take it, specially in a 3-star hotel, unless they tell me I can have a cheaper rate if I pay cash. And if they have a problem with the "machine", there are ways to charge it. I am sure that they would have charged my credit card if I had not shown up.
The room was comfortable, with a living room and a kitchen separate from the bedroom. Very good location. The hotel is ok, but after my experience I would not go back to this hotel if I have other choices.

“Nice Hotel but..........”

Bad first impression of a Receptionist that really need's to go on a customer service course, in fact all the Reception staff need to ) terrible manner given no information no help with bags etc after a long time travelling, had to fill in a registration form given key to room which also was the card for electric in room no explination about that, room looked as if it was finished in a hurry, wires still hanging out of walls, occassional cockroach visited on very small balcony which could just about fit 2 seats on no room for a table. No welcome pack which is usual in self catering appts like a bottle of water and some fruit would have been nice. Fridge was like out a dolls house. Hotel need's to be finished properly, and staff need to be trained in customer care I have never in my life experienced such bad service. The credit crunch is here remember that Rhodes! plenty other places to visit.....

“what a find, i love this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2009

what a find! The location was fantastic right in the middle of the town with beach, harbour and old town all only a few minutes walk.
When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who tried to help us as much as possible. We found our room and found that the toilet was not working properly so rather than waste any of our holiday time we were moved to another room straight away. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking the really nice pool (excellent temperature , clean and mostly quiet) and found it really quiet. The airconditioning worked great and having read reviews about Greek hotels we took our own bath plug but it was not needed. We also found the lack of curtain over the bath no problem at all and any water that did escape went down a drain in the floor rather like a wet room.
The free cakes bickys tea, coffee, and juice each morning was a nice treat in a self catering place and we managed to plan it so that we had cake at breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. All fresh daily and quite tastey although my waist line is now suffering.
All in all I would love to return to this quiet, spacious, comfortable hotel.asap especially having come home the temperature here is about 20 degrees colder!

“potential to be soo much better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2009

We are an older couple from Australia (60s and well travelled). We stayed here for 4 nights (10 May to 15 May 2009). Chosen by our travel agent in Athens (we wanted self catering) and arrived here after wonderful time in a very nice place in Crete. First impressions were uncertaing due to sparse furnishing , but room was good size with a seperate bedroom, which was nice. It was all downhill from there on. All our problems were minor if taken by themselves but added up to major discontent. The rather unhelpful lady on the desk had a Basil Faulty attitude (the rubbish we get in here) so that didn't help.
1. room and hotel reeked of smoke ( OK it is Greece but catch up)
2. TV zapper was broken (We change batteries but that didn't help)
3. No english language TV programs (no CNN or BBC so they obviously went with the cheap package)
4. While listed as self catering and having a great array of gadgets, had no dishwashing liquid, sponge, tea towel, scourer, pepper, salt, cooffee or tea etc. Not even a plug for the kitchen sink. Zilch zero nada.
5. Air Conditioning not working (only gets turned on 1st June irrespective of the weather) "Policy is Policy and we must obey"
6. Balcony door in bedroom would not lock (bits missing)
7. Bathroom door would not lock (bits missing)
8. Shower over bath but no shower curtain ( not even evidence of ever being one ie. empty track etc.) so water went everywhere. No plug in bath so that was not an option.
9. Toilet seat hinge broken so it wonked around.
10. Fridge small and no freezer (cheapo model)
11. Stray wires hanging out of wall.
12 Motorbike and scooter noise often annoying but wit no A/C what do you do. Sweat or listen.
13. Hallway and lift very noisy ( all those ceramic tiles don't help)

OK enough negatives
Positives--- Roomy rooms, good location, nice City. Free WiFi or cable internet.
Would I stay here again ..NO
