we stayed at this hotel june2009 for one week -the food was not good-we were on halfboard basis -but ate out most nights - my main complaint was the pool area- hard to get a sunbed-staff at the pool area were pretty rude -on a more positive note on this hotel -the reception staff are very nice- and sea views wonderful -would not stay at this hotel again.

After a problem on the first night, when our room was not available and sleeping in a small room with no sea view or balcony, we were moved to our allocated room which was much better. The hotel management were very good about this and upgraded us to half board and gave us two bottles of house wine.

The food at the hotel of a good standard with plenty of choice and a different variety each night. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has limited, i.e. no, English speaking TV channels which could be rectified quite easily and the shower cubicle was quite small.

There are signs up about not reserving sunbeds and that towels may be removed, however, in the 11 days we stayed this never happened.

The hotel is in a very good location, being over the road from the beach and 10-15 minutes from the new and old towns. Rhodes is a lovely island and I would certainly consider returning in the future.

Just got back from 2 weeks half board at blue sky. could not fault it, rooms are an ideal size, always clean, maids are brilliant!
Right opposite the beach and the sunset is stunning! Pool is always clean and the bar is great, lovely cocktails!! The barman Michael was brilliant always smiley and friendly!
Breakfast great, choice of cereals, toast, bread rolls, fruit, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, sausages, everything you can think of, its there! Dinner also as good with nice starters, plenty of choice and will always find something! Also yummy puddings! Staff at breakfast and dinner are so lovely, special mention to Thomas, and Michael again! But all of them work so hard!
Really close to everything you need, old town is a short walk away, really recommend going there, daytime or evening!
Also there are day trips to lindos for around 20 euros- do it!! most stunning place i've ever visited.
Also lots of other days out- turkey, greek tour etc! there are lots of travel companys to help you book it all or just walk to the harbour!
Lots of watersports- jet skiing, bannana boats, paragliding, pedlos and loads more- all reasonably priced- we went on a pedlo for an hour for 5 euros each!
So much to do, lots of nice restraunts!
I would definitly go back to bluesky, great hotel, great location!!
We had an amazing time and would recommend people of all ages to go there!!
oh and waterpark in falaraki is great fun!! lots of shops as well!

Just returned from a 10 day stay (B&B) at the Blue Sky Hotel with my boyfriend, and i cant praise the hotel enough! It is very hard to find any faults with our experience.

The hotel on first appearance is very clean and smart, it looks very modern but still inviting. The rooms are great, loads of storage. Cant comment on small showers since we had a bath. I would definitely recommend getting a sea view as the views are great, especially at sunset. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day by the really sweet cleaning ladies.

The breakfast was ample, nothing outstanding, but it was tasty and there was a good choice. We also had dinner in the hotel one night which was very nice but with the amount of restaurants around i would recommend eating out.

The pool and bar areas were very clean and well presented, and the pool itself was really nice. Downsides, the pool area doesnt completely catch the sun until about midday, and there are not many sun loungers, you have to be quick!

The staff were all fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Mentionable are the main male waiter at breakfast, and the pool bar man (who told me off for bringing a glass to the bar and not relaxing!)

We found the hotel good value for money, the drinks at the bar are the same if not cheaper than surrounding restaurants, and even the mini bar was cheap! (1.70 euros for a bottle of beer).

The location was perfect for what we wanted as a young couple. The hotel was literally across the road form bar street, which has a lot of late bars giving out cheap cocktails and shots, however it is not at all loud. The main restaurants of the new town are at most 5 minutes away. The old town is a 15 minute walk or 4 euro taxi away and is defintely worth going to! The small downside to the location was that the beach opposite was pebble which we didnt like, but Elli beach at the peak of Rhodes is a 5 to 10 mintue walk away and is sand/shingle and quite lively.

Overall, a really great stay!

POSITIVES- pretty much everything- location, value, room, amenities, staff...

NEGATIVES- lack of sunloungers...smallish lift?...oh and only German on the TV!
