“garden view = highway view (+ noise)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

If you want to enjoy your stay, please make sure not to book a garden view room which actually is a highway view room. It is noisy, not only because of the very busy street (Rhodos City - Lindos) but also because of the loud machinery on that side of the hotel and the Aqua Park just in front of the hotel. Staff (especially the receptionists) is not always very helpful and the manager doesn' t have time to speak with you. Although the food is good, and the waiters are friendly, it is not a real 5 star hotel. e.g. no orange juice at breakfast (but one of those awful powder mixtures), only 2 elevators for the complete hotel, 2 swimming pools but 1 is only accessible for the 'Select club' guests, beds are way too hard ...

Room Tip: book a seaside view room if you want to get some sleep :-)

“How can afford to pay for a coffee in a 5* hotel ?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2011 via mobile

Good hotel but, it is not normal to pay for a coffee Especially if I pay a fee without all inclusive, that means a lot of money.
Some of the staff was rude.
There were not concierge and we curry our own the luggage from the car...
There were not service in the sea umbrallas area, so you had to go to the beach bar for a juice or a coffee.
The door of the room opened on its own if we have opened the balcony door and it was windy!! This is very dangerous especially if you are not in the room.
I hope they have fixed it!
The place is good, the sea is nice & clean. I hope to improve all the weaknesses.

“Highly recommended”

My wife & I stayed at this lovely hotel last week , and we very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very clean and the food was great. It was both quiet & relaxing, as there were not a lot of families with young children. Very well located,10 minute bus ride to the old city of Rodos. Our waiter, Demetrius, couldn't do enough to help make our stay enjoyable. Very highly recommended

We stayed at the weekend and it was excellent!
good food, nice rooms.
The crew were great and helped us with every request
the hotel was vary quiet all the time.
Quite close to the major sites in the city (about fifteen minutes taxi ride to the old and new town, 50 minutes to lindos by bus & one minute walk to the water park)
We had a wonderful time!

“Peaceful hotel, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2011

The hotel is quite big, but the best advantage is its garden. Because it has 20.000 m2, you can really hide yourself in the green garden. It has two pools, though one is limited only to guests who had booked Select Club rooms. The other pool, which is a little bit smaller, is for all guests. In the centre of garden there is “Lazy River”, which is the best advantage of this hotel. It is also the reason, why we booked it. There is also pool bar connected to the river and you can also use rafts and let the river carry you.

Hotel is located cca. 40 minutes by foot along the road to Faliraki, which is said to be the place to party. The get to Faliraki you have to walk along the road which can be quite busy and heavy trucks on the road are not so friendly. Next to Hotel Esperos Palace is Esperides Family Resort, which is a “sister hotel”, both hotels are owned by the same company. This hotel is quiet and peaceful, but you can always hear children shouting from next door. The bus station is right in front of hotel and bus ticket to Rodos town is 2 €/person.

Rooms are tastefully decorated, not so spacious, but cosy. In the main building all rooms are renovated. “Sea side view rooms” and “Mountain view rooms” are the same size, but “Select Club rooms”, which all have sea side view, are larger. Rooms in next door building categorized as “Side sea view rooms”, are not renovated.

Pool area is very clean and sun beds are comfortable. It is a very nice gesture, that the hotel provide free towels for the beach, which are waiting for the guests in their rooms at the arrival. You can change this towels every second day. Sun beds by the pool and on the beach are free as well.

Every morning and evening there is a very big choice of food available. The only thing, that bothered us, was in the Restaurant. You had to seat in the same area every time. So, you could not enjoy morning sun and breakfast outside, because you had to seat inside where your area was. In the evening sitting outside was not pleasant because mosquitoes could eat you alive.

The structure of hotel guests cold be described like this: 60% Germany & Austria, 20% Russia, 10% all other nationalities. A little bit annoying was also that fact, that most of hotel staff spoke to us in German language. It would be nicer to be addressed in English, after all, this is a Greek hotel with international guests.
