“Great food, beautiful view, but not a five star hotel...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We booked a 4* hotel (Kalithea or something), but when we arrived the tourist guied told, that they running out of free rooms. Fine :( She said that it's normal there (in Rhodes), when you book something you can never be sure what you get. Good to know. So they offered us a room in a 5* hotel. Wow. I've never been in a five star hotel during vacation. (But I know very well, cause I worked in luxury hotels). So we were very happy although we booked another one. The hotel located in beautiful hillside. The view is amazing, but it's not so close to the beach. There is a hotel bus what you can use to get to the beach and back all day long. So it was not a huge problem for us. But for paretns with children, or older people I can not recommend. The main building and a restaurant has a nice, clean 4* interior and the food was absolutely fine. A huge buffet with large selection for breakfast and dinner. For dinner you can choose between the buffet and a 3 course menu. In the main building there is a swimming pool, a bar and a lobby. The garden is beautiful, full of with trees and flowers. You also can find a few animals, cause there is a kind of zoo there. We got an apartment located almost on the top of the hill. The view from our balcony, as I told was amazing. The room itself was a time travel. The furnitures stucked there from the '80s. It was so funny... Nevertheless everithing was clean. But still. In 2011... After all we spent there a beautiful week, so if they offer you good price, and you don't mind that it's not on the beach (it was so quite, and we loved it) and if you don't care of retro furnitures, go and visit them. Oh, before I forget. You sholud rent a car and travel all around the island. You can find very nice places, restaurants, people there!

Have a nice trip!!!!

“The greatest hotel in my life.”

We stayed in June 2011. We were two couples. The staff was very friendly, we got two rooms near to our own small pool. The hotel is a group of buildings on the hill. There was a small church on the top of the hill, sea view from there was gorgeous. There was a local bus, which helped guests to move up and down to the beach. There were many clean pools on the hotel territory, also there was tennis court and table tennis.
They had srictly rule, no children at all, so this place was quite calm and relaxing. We really enjoyed it. They had great cooking with the big range of dishes. Every evening they had music programms of different styles.
I highly recommend this place, you'll love it!

“We'll be back next year, for sure!”

We love the mediterranean and we are crazy about swimming in the sea. After spending 5 vacations on the turkish coast, at Side, we decided to change sides, especially being pissed off by the aggressive turkish foreign policy. The reviews of Esperos Village were positive and the place just caught us. We spent 3 weeks in September 2011 and enjoyed it. The view from the room (standard) was superb and it was cleaned daily and bedware changed. Mylady is very critical about food but found the restaurant, especially the buffet offering throughout the 3 weeks stay a varied choice of nice food with attractive greek specialties. We preferred the terrace and the service is personal and friendly. The shuttle bus is not fully complying with the time table but basically you don't wait more than 10 minutes for a ride. The overall atmosphere is quite and the fact that kids are not admitted gives it more tranquility. It is easy to rent a car across the road and reach Rhodes, Lindos, etc. which have much to offer. The beach although pebble-sown is clean and you get a few extras like free towels and beds, umbrellas as well as a free bottle of wine every evening. We'll get back.

Room Tip: The higher you go, the better the natural ventilation and view.

“Excellent friendly service, good restaurant, great sea view”

My wife and I stayed a week in Sept. 2011 at the Esperos Village. Se were pleased by the very friendly service by all hôtel staff and by thé very good restaurant with a terasse with a superb seaview. All rooms have seaview and a balcony, another plus point. The accomodation and infrastructure of the rooms however show their age, that part is below 5 star level. Faliraki and Rhodes are easy to reach by bus (1 & 4 eur resp.) or taxi (5 & 15 eur resp.). There are 4 pools, and the beach is 3 min away by hotel shuttle. We really enjoyed our stay!
