Toula apartments are really lovely, right on the seafront and just sufficiently out of town not to be really noisy. They are well planned, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. They were very clean when we arrived. Unfortunately, the downside was that these are really not self-catering apartments and studios in the English sense, i.e. there were insufficient items of crockery, cutlery and pans etc. for anyone to even try to make a simple meal. We started out with one knife, one teaspoon, one dessert spoon and four forks; after we asked, we were given sufficient for two to eat, but no cooking implements at all! This although there were two electric rings available. However, we did have a new kettle and coffee machine.
We got clean towels once during our week's stay, but not clean bedlinen at all, nor was the studio cleaned at all during the week, so the floor got pretty gritty by the day of our return home! Bit of a shame, as they really are very nicely placed and the owners are so nice. However, in spite of all, we think we would definitely return there in the future, especially as we loved Petra!
