Stayed here with my wife a couple of weeks ago. Nice friendly folk to deal with, within good easy reach of the beach. Room was quite ok, but electrics kinda scarey (very dodgey light fittings, and my shaver socket was switching itself on & off!).
Nice big clean comfy bed, small not-so-clean shower room.
Nice little balcony area where you can sit with a glass.
Good airconditioning.
Brushed away a few dead cockroaches - and 1 live one in the shower room; but my wifes mum in the room downstairs didn't see any during the week. (must be i smell sweeter or something!).

With out any prior notification "the best" gave my friends and i a very clean room with cooking utensils, a balcony and comfortable room with a working air conditioner that we didnt have to pay for!
along with this we were given a very good price, which suited our low budget! The location of this accommodation is also great, its just off the beach near all bars and lively activity in perissa. make sure you hire bikes from 'mikes bikes' just opposite the hotel where you can see the whole of the island!
marylin and vacillis are so accomodating with any thing you require through out your stay, their hotel has a very family and caring orientated atmosphere which is so lovely to stumble accross!
i definitly reccomend this hotel!

I stayed at the BEST hotel with my gf in June 2009. The hotel cost was $45 euros per night. We booked through expedia. The hotel had a pool, pool bar and breakfast area. The hotel was nice looking and the pool area was clean and big. The location was two minute walk from the black beach in Perissa and had parking for your ATV or Scooter on site. There was no free internet station here. The room had working air conditioning, satellite TV, a small fridge and a room safe. The room was tastefully decorated and was comfortable. The only downfall was that the shower did not have a curtain so you had to be somewhat carefull with the hand wand wash. I would definitely stay here again for sure.

stayed here with two girlfriends as we were traveling through greece. by the looks of the hotel on the web site we thought it would be okay, as we were traveling on a budget and did not expect a four seasons. we got there and the owner said she had over booked (although the place looked totally empty) and needed to split us up in two rooms, we said NO way, and she some how found a three person room (she was trying to rip us off and make us pay for two rooms rather then one). The internet is crazy, the owner told us is cost 6 E for 2 hours, but decided to leave out the fact that you had to pay 15 E to rent the laptop (go into town, its 2E of one hour). The rooms were gross and the matress on the top floor was literally on the floor with sheets. There were cats running around the whole place. The pool is tiny, and looks nothing like it does on the web site. The owners were very nice but not helpful at all, we asked them to call us a cab the night before and they forgot, and we were very close to missing our ferry. All in all do not stay here, my adivice is to stay floser to Fira.
