This hotel was everything we'd hoped for!

Pros:
-Staff is extremely nice, hospitable, and willing to help in any way possible!
-Free breakfast is served in your room at a time of your choosing - and you pick what you want! Really was a delight!
-Very clean, well-appointed.
-Amazing views - looks out over the sunset!
-Good, quiet location - not as loud and actionable as Fira, but enough to do around there - restaurants and shops. Not so touristy that you're always crowded. Location is truly perfect.

Cons (this is a stretch!):
-European-style showers. Not really a con, but it certainly takes getting used to!
-No pool, BUT what's amazing, is that you can use the hotel pools of all the other hotels in Santorini! We used a hotel pool down from this hotel and it was great! So no need to book a hotel with a pool.

Overall, an amazing experience!

We stayed at the Ellinon Thea in July - It is well placed and very convenient and very new and clean with some luxury features like dressing gowns, embroidered linen etc - but on the other hand it is more a guest house than a hotel - there is nowhere to be other than in your room - no yard, garden, pool deck, or pool or even dining hall. The lower floor rooms are at street level and all who walk or drive by are just about inside your room hence no privacy and a lot of noise - the staff are very nice and try hard to please but I think that considering the limitations, it is overpriced. I would not choose it again and if one does stay there ensure you have an upper floor room for privacy and quiet

Absolutely lovely boutique property which is situated for a perfect view of the Sunset. Maria looked after us very well and the breakfast that is served on the balcony was always fresh and tasty. If you are looking to shut yourself away for a couple of days watching the perfect sunset and indulging in a proper 2 person jacuzzi, then I can't recommend a better place!

I stayed at Ellinon Thea for 3 days. It is a very nice, brand new hotel. The staff were wonderful, the view was amazing and the rooms were in great condition.
If you are really interested in seeing the sunset, stay in your room!! Especially during high tourist season! You will enjoy it so much more.

The hotel is in Firostefani, so it is abt 15 mins walk to the town centre. I wouldn't recommend high hills in that case!! The rooms downstairs have external jacuzzi, and the rooms upstairs have it inside. It is definitely luxurious & it makes you feel pampered. Also I think that it helped we had a car.. We went late May , so when we tried to go to the sea we were a bit disappointed.. Hence we made full use of the jakuzzi and we certainly enjoyed it much much more!!

The breakfast was very good and you can choose all the options from the list provided!!

The people at Ellinon Thea were very friendly and especially Maria. She was very approachable and she was willing to answer all our touristy questions!!
