We stayed here in October 2006 during the last four nights of our two week tour of the Greek Islands. Good time of the year to go to this area, since you are catching the last couple of weeks of the toursit season to this area. No crowds if you were to go in the summer and besides the temperatue was cooler than the summer about 15 degrees difference, since it can get at least 40 degrees celsius. Cliff Side Suites or Grotto Villas as it was called when I was there is worth it. We spent an extra $400 on top of our trip to stay on the cliff side and it is cliff side, or $100 per night for four. Anyway excellent location as you have a kicthenette and the is a grocery store nearby as well as a liqour store and cafe where you can have Mr. George servve you up a cup of coffee. Except you have to climb 72 steps at least to get to these amenities. No a good spot if you have difficulty walking up or down steps!! Breakfasts were great with the spectactular view of the Caldera. I have been talking of this place for five years now and would go back in a heartbeat, only thing different is stay two weeks at Santorini alone! Do not pay attention to when I travelled there, because October 2011 is the latest I can go back!!! There is a gentleman that meets you at the top of the steps to carry your luggage do not say no as you would ahve difficulty to carry your luggage down the winding steps, it is the mans job so take him up on it!!!
