“Lovely time at a beautiful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Everything about this hotel is wonderful... the location, the service, the rooms, the cleanliness.... This was the highlight of our trip to Santorini. Would like to have stayed for much longer than just a few days.

“On top of the world!”

I stayed at Hotel Ira with my boyfriend in July this year and we had the most incredible experience thanks to Hotel Ira! We were greeted at the port when we first arrived and taken to our magnificent hotel in firostefani. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted by the manager and informed that we had received a wonderful room upgrade. The service at this hotel was fantastic- everyone was so helpful and created a warm welcoming atmosphere. The rooms had breathtaking views overlooking the Caldera, I would say possibly the most magnificent views in the world! Breakfast was delicious with something different each morning and fresh coffee which was a huge bonus! I cannot say a bad word about this hotel- I would happily return any day of the year. I love Firostefani- the location is close enough to Fira but still far enough away from the hustle and bustle. I have stayed at both Hotel illias (currently no.1 on Tripadvisor) and Hotel Ira and i would say that Hotel Ira has that extra romantic and spacious edge that Hotel Illias lacks. Thank you Hotel Ira for making our stay in Santorini so special!

Room Tip: definitely worth paying more for a room with a Caldera view

“Great view,excellent service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

A customer orientated hotel. We were given a room upgrade. The view is breathtaking. The hotel is in a quiet area, just a 15 min walk from Fira,a 10 min walk from a bus station for Oia.Just around the corner a good selection of restaurants and tavernas. The rooms are spacious and as you heard in previous reviews the pool is actually a big tub,but you dont really care, cos the view compensates you 110%.We would definitely be back !

“Superb hotel on Santorini”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

Stayed 4 nights at the Ira Hotel in October. The hotel is high up on the cliff with not too many steps. Had a caldera view room with a large balcony. The room was excellent and the view breathtaking. Good breakfasts. Free pickup from the ferry terminal and transfer to the airport at the end of our stay was greatly appreciated. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location at Firostefani was ideal. Being about a 15 minute walk into Thira meant we were away from the hordes of day visitors to Santorini coming off the cruise ships, but close enough to all the Thira facilities. Plenty of good restaurants close by. Particularly liked Mama Thira restaurant nearby, with magnificent views of the sunset over the caldera. Great walk from Firostefani along the cliff path to Oia. Visited black beaches at Kamari and Perissa using public buses. The Ira Hotel and Santorini are spectacular. Very highly recommended.

“the best hotel...don't stay anywhere else...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

I didn't know what to expect and when we arrived in Santorini...Manny was so accomodating...then when we checked in the lovely "Sunday" (I can't spell her name in Greek) was wwonderful...They made our stay so enjoyable with no worries. We had breakfast included too. Their spread by Floidita was so yummy and I miss them today. Please stay here. The staff makes the stay in Santorini amazing!
