Booked hotel over the internet based on other reviews. Initially e mailed hotel, gave dates of arrival and departure and was given a price for half board for our full stay. When we booked out we were charged extra for the pleasure of Christmas day and New Year Eve. Totally unacceptable as the price quoted included these days and no mention was made until we were booking out that we would be charged extra. - For omlettes!!

The hotel did assure us when we made our initail enquires that it catered for vegetarians. Well alI I can only say that there is only so much omelette that one can eat!!

The staff over all were curt to the point of rudness. We asked for the wine list 5 times one night and in the end just drank water. On one occassion our son went to the bathroom to fill the water jug - yes the service was that bad.

The hotel is situated at the base of a ski slope however the area is mainly serviced by drag lifts. To get to proper slopes one must get the bus. This is a good walk from the hotel.

The rooms were looked at on a daily basis but this was a quick 5 minutes at the most. The bathroom was tidied and bins empted.

On the night of our arrival I rang the hotel from the train to give our time of arrival. We were asked had we eaten and would we require food. We arrived at 10pm, were given a bowl of soup - no bread - and told the kitchen was closed. We had 2 small kids with us who had spent a day travelling.

This was our 3rd Christmas at an Austrian Hotel and I know from experience that this is not a typical Austrian experience.
