My wife and daughter and I spent three days here and had an outstanding time. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The grounds and views were lovely. The restaurant served excellent meals and the included breakfast offered much variety. The staff were very helpful and tried to keep us happy! Manfred (our most entertaining host) went way beyond the norm, in making our stay enjoyable. When he was around he drove us to where ever we planned to go. Otherwise, a taxi was always to be found and cost $1.50 to get to the center of town. (It took about 30 minutes to walk.) Being a bit out of town meant that it was quiet and relaxing. After my family left for home, I stayed on and spent another 2 nights in different smaller rooms. They were all excellent. You can't go wrong with this B&B. We had the pleasure of discovering Los Capitanes resort on our first trip to Panama and it was one of the highlights of our visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the restaurant is terrific, the grounds are immaculate and staff was warm and courteous. We had a delightful chat with the owner who provided us with many insights to the area. I give it my highest recommendation ! We can't wait to stay again.

We are finishing up a short stay at Los Capitanes. We stayed in Suite No. 1, which was roomy and airy. The place is beautiful, with lovely gardens. It also has wifi and a top notch restaurant (we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here and everything was delicious).

The owner was especially great -- he personally arranged for a birding tour with local guide Mario, and the owner himself woke up at 5:45 a.m. and cooked us breakfast (apple pancakes and coffee) before our birding tour. He is very friendly and engaging -- he has some great stories about his time as a sea captain and his early days in Panama. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Great scene - great people - Manfred is an amazing and generous host - the grounds are impeccable, quiet, clean and peaceful - just what we were looking for - and the price is perfect.
