Our family (myself, wife, and 4 year old son) visited Beaches and Dreams in January. This was our first trip to Hopkins and what a pleasant surprise it was. Beaches and Dreams is on beautiful beachfront with the restaurant and cabins close to the beach. So nice to wake up in the morning to a nice breakfast (with coffee of course !) and just take in the views. So relaxing and we were soon in a carefree mode (reading, relaxing on the beach, and hiking around the area). Beaches and Dreams is within walking distance (or a short ride) to middle of Hopkins village and we loved it. Hopkins village has friendly, easy going people and there are a number of restaurants and small stores to check out. I also want to note that we appreciated the hospitality of our Beaches and Dreams hosts (Angela and Tony Marisco). They have a first rate small hotel and restaurant in a beautiful setting. Their restaurant (Barracuda Bar and Grill) offers a delicious dinner menu which was the highlight of our evenings there. We had some of the most tasty fresh fish and lobster at the Barracuda and it was obvious why Tony is known as a great chef. All in all, our family loved our stay at Beaches and Dreams and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beaches & Dreams in Hopkins over christmas 2011. The location is peaceful, the dock over the water inviting, and their in-house restaurant's food and beer excellent!. The location is tranquil yet close/walking distance to many activities in Hopkins and nearby. The knowledge of the owners of things to do, places to go locally is a huge advantage of staying here - they seem to be a real hub of the community. We'd love to return to beaches and dreams for another stay, and would highly recommend it to others.

My wife and I went to Beaches and Dreams for a belated honeymoon. Best decision we made was to get a package that included all meals. When one of the best chefs in the country is making your meals for you it adds a little something special to mealtimes. We got to pick from the specials board every night! Delicious soups, pizza, rice dishes, pasta dishes, lobster, nachos, etc.
We found the kindness and flexibility of the service at Beaches and Dreams to be unparalleled. We had the meal package, but if we wanted to pop into Hopkins for lunch, Tony offered to just subtract the meal from the final price! Tony and Angela let us rent their car one day to complete a hike because the car rental guy left the country for a week. He routinely came out of the kitchen at night to say hi and chat about our days...very high quality. With the adventure package we got a bunch of trips around Belize included. All of our trips were privately led, so my wife and I could ask as many questions to the taxi driver, guide, or whoever.

We had a lovely time at Beaches and Dreams, and Tony and Angela were excellent hosts.
On arrival we had not done our research and did not realise there were no banks in Hopkins, so we were strapped for cash, but Tony and Angela helped us out. As we visited at the beginning of the season, we had a wonderful and quiet week, so although there were a few tourists and lots of options for food and excursions, we appreciated that it was not overwelmingly busy in any way. We were lucky enough to meet some amazing guest at the hotel as well. A few more people about to get a trip out to the Blue Hole would have been welcome, but otherwise it was excellent!

The dining experience at Beaches and Dreams was incredible and we had our evening meal there virtually every night! The "Barracuda Bites" starter was absolutely amazing - we could not get enough! Warning! Very hot dish! :)
Angela's Roast Cocoa chocholate cake was also delicious - bringing back childhood memories of cakes!

(Bring some bug spray - as expected in such a climate! Not required in the clean rooms, but recommended outside)
