When we got there, we were not sure to like it, but after a couple of hours having walked around the house, went to see the beach, saw the pigs, we knew we would love the place. Mary and Bill are great hosts, the food is excellent.

I had also the chance to meet Bruno, a very important dog, a medical assistant. He is so cute.

We stayed here for one night in August. Closest city is Summerside about 20 minutes away by car. No TVs in room. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. They directed us to a nearby beach which was lovely. The breakfast (eggs benedict) was fantastic.

We've stayed at over a dozen different B&Bs on the island, and Briarcliffe remains our top pick (this year was our 4th visit). Briarcliffe owners Bill and Mary Kendrick provide exactly what we look for in a B&B:
- a super comfy bed for a good night's sleep
- big, thirsty bath towels
- engaging conversation over an enormous gourmet breakfast
- practical advice on what to see and do during our stay
Attention to guests' needs is second to none... in fact, they remembered from a previous stay that we are sensitive to fragrances, and our linens contained no perfumes. There aren't many B&B owners who would go to that kind of trouble for a 2-night stay.
We're already looking forward to our next visit.
