Debra and Ray were most hospitable and well informed about local restaurants and places to visit. Breakfasts were excellent, imaginative and well prepared. Room was large with good furniture and a comfortable bathroom.

We stayed for a week and I didn't want to go home! We visit Nova Scotia every year from California and have always stayed at a hotel. I saw this place on line and read the reviews so we tried it....... wow! The owners, Debra and Ray were the friendliest people who made us feel at home and did so many nice things to make our stay one we'll definitely repeat! Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The table at breakfast was beautifully set and the food was delicious. They also have a tea room there that has an incredible selection of teas and a menu of great food. I had lunch there several times. My husband who is an expert on ice cream rates this as the best! They carry a better brand then the surrounding places. We loved our special Canada Day Sundaes they made for us. The tea room is called Goodchilds and Kim who waited on us was so nice. There are many things to do in the area. My husband played golf several times,we did the beautiful hike out to Cape Split,ate lobsters at Hall's Harbor,had scallops at Digby Pines and my favorite thing was reading my Kendall on the front porch. There is that great small town feel that makes you relax and unwind. They have spa facilities which I will try on my next visit. If you want stay at one of the best places in Nova Scotia...this is it!

My husband and I returned here after 4 years since our last visit. Deb and Ray are just as friendly and charming as ever. So glad we decided to stay here and end our 2 weeks in the Maritimes in their B&B.

Our stay was again on the Orchid Room and just as lovely as the first time around. The bed comfy and the room spotless.

Deb's cooking will not soon be forgotten. The homemade blueberry pancakes and crepes are so good. Ray made excellent suggestions on where to go and what to see. One of which was the Muir Murray Estate Winery. Very good reds here, for those looking to try Nova Scotia wine. So good in fact we drank it when we came home!

I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return for a 3rd time in the future.

The Delft House is a place I will hold near and dear to my heart. Ray and Debra were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our wedding special.
We stayed in the Orchid Room which had all the comforts of home and then some. The quality linens and little special touches did not go unnoticed.
There home is spotless, gourmet breakfast in the morning and the Tea House was lovely.
A little piece of heaven!
