This hotel is now called Canalta, and it was much nicer than any SUper 8 I've been in. I was only here for a short time but this would have been perfect for more. They had a mini fridge, mircowave and sink (extra) in each room, which is great for long stays. The bathroom was large and the shower was AWESOME! Full length mirror for the ladies.
Lots of pillows on the bed to choose from and warm blankets.
I didn't need one but they had a DVD player in the room which is a change i've found and i think that's really great!
Front desk was very friendly and helpful!

This is the newest hotel in town and it shows. Everything is top quality...so far. The room was very clean and modern. Flat screen TV's, great shower head, nice little fridge and microwave and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is your standard muffins and toast. The hotel is right on the highway (beside an A & W) and it is frequented by many oil & gas workers. They tended to put the boys in the work boots on the bottom floor and the rest of us on the second floor. The staff were very friendly and we would stay there again for sure.

I stay at this hotel reguarly when traveling to Provost. The staff are always very friendly, the rooms are large, clean and modern. There are always fresh baked cookies & popcorn by the front desk! Lots of the rooms have both exterior and interior access which is very handy for bringing in work materials when it is cold. All the rooms I have stayed in have a small fridge and kitchenette with small sink and large. The beds are comfortable and the room is very user friendly and quiet. This is a newer hotel and has a free breakfast which is one of the better ones that are offered by hotel chains. They have waffles (you make yourself), french toast, boiled eggs, cereals, breads, fruit, juice, etc. Everyone should be able to find something they like. Definately an asset when you are traveling and on a budget.
On my last stay last week, I was upgraded to a suite for no additional charge which was a nice treat and much appreciated since I stay in hotels frequently with my work and enjoy little extra hotel perks along the way.
This hotel allows pets and to date, I can't remember being charged an extra fee for my small dog which is rare these days and much appreciated too!
The best restaurant I have found so far in Provost is only about a 5 minute walk away - Top 20 has a family restaurant side and lounge too. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. Their supper specials are a great price - I had their 14 oz t-bone steak meal which included soup or salad for only $16!
Definately give this hotel a try - I have never had a bad experience and will be returning back for another night in the very near future.

this is a very nice hotel, the staff are really friendly and and service is awsome. Clean, comfortable.. I was excited to come back to provost for work, only for the hotel.. I stayed in the cochrane one b4 it and that one sucked compaired to this one.. The only downside of this hotel is that.. well.. its in provost :S haha
