Although the restaurant is not usually open on Mondays, apparently, Elvira and David opened it up for my birthday celebration party of 14. We were not asked to fix the menu ahead of time either, and there was still a wide choice. The food was excellently prepared and served, as we have come to expect from David's skills as gourmet chef. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the hospitality of the hosts.
The rooms for our 2-night stay were as comfortable as always and perfect for a relaxing stay in the North Wales area.
As many have stated already, for atmosphere, comfort, hospitality and quality of the food whether breakfast or dinner, Barratts is incomparable. We wouldn't choose anywhere else.

I really can't speak highly enough of this absolute gem of a place. Close to the railway station and very easy to find, it was cosy, comfortable and like a home from home. The owners were extremely welcoming and their pride in the place was obvious. The room itself was sizeable and very well furnished. The bed was very comfortable, Sadly, I didn't have time to fit in dinner but the breakfast I received in the morning was absolutely first class. I would recommend Barratts without any hesitation and will be looking to stay again if and when I'm next in North Wales.

I can't say enough good things about our experience there. We (wife and I), visited for our wedding blessing and chose Tyn Rhyl for reception. Staying 3 days, we just fell in love with the place. Detail and rich history at every turn, an quiet oasis of calm at the edge of town. Food and service exceptional. Hosts (Elvira and husband Dave) now feel family! Prices very very reasonable. Top marks all round. Highly, Highly recommended.

What a lovely gem in rhyl,made 2 feel v.welcome,nothing was 2 much trouble.The house was beautiful & v.clean.The breakfasts were v.good.overall 100%.will most definately recommend.
