Been going on Caravan Holidays for 15 Years.. This is the worst park i have ever been to.
I Picked this particular holiday park as it had been recommended by ITV’S ‘This Morning’, Hoseasons were representing it on their website and the marine holiday park website itself looked very good.
Had 2 caravans for the week. Not cheap either!
Alot of the staff were unfriendly, Not helpful and quite rude at times!-(When they wernt being moody sods) –especially in the mermaid cafe.
Reception staff wernt helpful in the slightest from when we first got there to when we left the park FOR GOOD!!
Soon as Me & My Family found the caravans, One of the main outside doors was broke,
Pillows and duvet were covered in blood & poo... were left face up on the bed by the ‘cleaners’-i use that word lightly.
Musty/mouldy smell in the bedrooms, dirty carpet in all rooms– especially under all the beds!
Rubbish left from the previous people who had stayed there
Didn’t supply the right sheets for even half the beds
The gas fire was a safety hazard
Kitchen was FILTHY DIRTY.
All of the laminate on cupboard doors were hanging of – layered with grease & dirt ( aswell as most of the appliances..
Fridge wasn’t not at the temperature it should have been.. also very dirty
Nothing was upto the basic clean/working standard that i was led to believe (im no snob either), how they can hire these caravans in this state is beyond me.. wouldnt send my worst enemy there.
Shower didn’t work properly, oven and grill didn’t work properly therefore i couldn't cook, takeaway and mermaid cafe's food was awfull (Change the chipfat once in a while wouldnt go a miss) so had to go on a mission to a decent pub/takeaway outside the grounds.
Only positive thing about the whole caravan park is how clean they keep the swimming pool.. lifeguards tested the water twice a day
Not as good as it looks on the website that's for sure.. Photo's must have been taken a good few years ago!
Settee was also broke, all the board underneath supporting it was damp and damaged.
VERY NOISY when your trying to sleep at night/early morning(1am-3am) with helicopters going around, noise from the industrial estate. Couldnt even shut the curtains at night to escape the beaming streetlight right outside the window as they fell down everytime they were touched.
Dont waste your money.. That is all
