We stayed at the hotel on Friday the 27th of Jan with a few work colleagues; from the moment we landed we were greeted by the assistant manager who made us very welcome.
The hotel is a magnificent period building with the usual feel of an old building of that age, the rooms were large and made you feel as if you were staying in a historic building, I note that some people writing reviews say that the building is tired, I do not believe this to be the case its merely an old building which oozes character and history.
We ate in the restaurant where the staff to include the chef went well out of their way to ensure we were well catered for.

This has to be the most pleasant stay that I have ever had in a hotel, all of the staff from cleaners, managers and kitchen staff must be commended for their dedication to ensuring we had a delightful stay... well done all, we shall be back.

ive just spent 3 nights in this hotel.my room was lovely and warm.just like the reception from the staff.the breakfast was lovely and plenty of it.the communal rooms are enormous and very welcoming.the person who complained that there was no lift obviously did not look...cos there is one.the view from the hotel is fab.overlooking loch fyne.this is the lowest price hotel we have ever stayed in...not counting the bloody awful travel lodge at aldgate east.so value for money is definately not an issue.i would reccommend this hotel to anyone who is not expecting the ritz or claridges.i would stay here again.

1 night stay with group of friends, lovely castle, great views. Dinner and breakfast were good quality, rooms were very nice, warm, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Accessible and dog friendly, would be a great wedding venue. I would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here over a year ago and I just realized that I had yet to review it. It is a decent castle hotel right outside of a little town in Scotland. We were there in late Feb so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The staff was minimal, but they were attentive. The food was wonderful and the room was large and quite pretty. The view from the dining room in the morning made for some wonderful pictures.
