The first time I styed here they told me when I arrived that the Kitchen was closed for the night as the Chef had gone to London, no alternative arrangements had been made and as I had travelled by Train I had no transport, so had to go hungry.
The corridor carpet is very stained so doesn give a very good impression on the way to the room.
The room was ok, but the bathroom was a bit tired. I was disapointed to see that the light fitting in my room was broken and the wires were loose, just slightly dangerous. I was even more annoyed in the morning to find that the shower wouldn't work, surely that is too basic?
The next time I stayed I was horrified to be given a WOODEN SPOON attached to my room key, apparently a lot of keys go missing so they wanted to ensure this one wouldn't, I mean...really?
I found the staff a bit lacking in 'the extra mile' they didn't know of any taxi companies I could use for example and weren't overly friendly. I didn't have an ironing board in my room which was very inconvenient.
A colleague stayed there recently but didnt find out until her arrival that they had double booked her and booked her in somewhere else.
On the whole, disapointing, but breakfast is good.
