“Wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

We loved this place. It is pretty in pictures and even more so in person. Every little detail is here: lovely grounds, great location to Hadrian's wall, great full breakfast, friendly and helpful hostess, and great company from other guests at breakfast. The room was spotless and had many little extras. Good little drinks and snacks, great shower room, vaulted ceilings, chickens, sheep, menus from local restaurants and pubs, maps and books for use, great linens. No skimping here. Just a great place to stay. We stayed two nights.

“Very friendly and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. They were cleaned and tidied every day. Great tea and coffee making, especially welcome after walking the entire day! Wydon Farm is a working farm and we enjoyed walking through flocks of sheep on our way to Haltwhistle. The location is nice and quiet. Our hosts - although extremely busy - were very friendly and went out of their way to provide transportation to Haltwhistle and back and saved us from getting entirely drenched one of the evenings! Thank you!

“Brilliant little B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Visiting Hadrian's Wall for a couple of days with my son, Oliver. He found the B&B on web and so we booked in. A delightful self contained bedroom, 2 armchairs, one kingsize bed and one single bed. Wonderful wet room. TV, all mod cons, and even our own private courtyard at the back. Smart bedlinen and comfy beds. Quiet and peaceful outside. Recommended dinner at nearby Greenhead and that was good too.

Three great converted cow barns all done to a very high standard. Breakfast in Linda's dining room in the house with a full English and tasty warm croissants too. Will definitely return.

And the little Jack Russell pups were adorable!

Room Tip: No need - all the rooms are great

“This place stands out even in the five star places.”

We took two of our grandchildren to see Hadrian s Wall. We stayed in the Willow Room and the girls in the Bluebell Room. The special things are as follows. Linda who is so warm and friendly and loves looking after the guests. The rooms as well as being spotlessly clean and spacious are fitted with so many things for convenience and comfort even phone chargers (for i-phones anyway on the clocks) The breakfasts which are lavish and everything cooked is fresh and to order. Then there is the farm where Linda's husband John is happy to show us and the children everything and the girls loved playing with the animals.. Finally there is the location which is as well as being by Hadrian's wall is set amongst the most lovely scenery. It was just a pleasure to be around there.

“A big surprise”

We weren't expecting a B&B that had real character and comfort (we'd booked because of Hadrian's Wall proximity, and the photos we'd seen of the B&B don't do it justice). The style is rather traditional but all the right amenities are in place, with some welcome extras: e.g. fridge/freezer, outstanding tea and toiletry selection, with a delicious breakfast, out-of-ours friendly assistance, etc. Clearly, the owner Linda (who was thoroughly welcoming) puts thought and care into her business and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return.
