After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor we choose this little gem of a B&B for 2 nights. The rooms were immaculate and the bathroom amazing, like previous reviewers I thought the shower pressure was envious.
Julie, our hostess also doubled as our massage therapist, a wonderful experience. Breakfast was amazing. My partner went for the full english each day which saved him from having to eat lunch too. Cereal, berries, yoghurts, juice, coffee, tea were all available. Julie cooked my breakfast to order each day with absolutely no fuss.
Melkridge is a very small town and the perfect escape from the city. After our sat-nav sent us on a wild goose chase I called julie and she waved us in from the road.
The local pub is about 3 miles away at Haltwhistle (try out the Black Bull), taxis are limited but Julie was happy to offer to drive us into the town and gave us the number of taxi firms to get home with.
I would recommend this B&B to everyone and can't wait to get back and try out the sauna they were installing.

Lovely quiet location with everything you need for a great stay - beautiful room, comfortable beds,double shower, substantial good quality breakfast and friendly host/hostess.

We chose this B&B on the basis of the previous review on Trip Advisor for our 23rd wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed - this probably is right up there with the best B&Bs in the UK! The rooms are all beautifully decorated and the ensuite bathroom was gorgeous. Julie was the perfect host, who just happens to offer beauty treatments and massages as well! We both had a massage Sunday morning, which helped make the weekend extremely relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, particularly black pudding and summer fruit!

A real gem of a place. Not very often does reality exceed expectations but this small B&B located in the heart of Northumberland's Hadrian Wall country does exactly that. Immaculate, comfortable and stylish rooms with showers with water pressure you just wish you had at home! As soon you enter and are greated by Melkridge Farms' hosts, you start to relax. Amazing breakfasts and walks just out of the front door - all topped by the availability of a world-class beauty treatment/massage. A real delight.
