“Ideal B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

I booked this B&B in July for a long weekend of walking and exploring Adrians Wall and the surrounding area. It was amazing a hidden gem. We were treated like royalty. The setting is to die for and the new created spa at the end of the property is there for you to get pampered

Room Tip: There are 3 on suite rooms as for the one at the front that over looks the railway line, dont worry...

“Luxury by Hadrian's Wall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2011

We stayed here for one night on our cycle touring holiday. Melkridge Farm has been renovated beautifully with spacious rooms decorated sumptuously and a fantastic en suite bathroom. Julie also does beauty treatments (which we didn't have) and the bathrooms are equipped with complimentary occitane toiletries! The location is quite remote but stunning views. Breakfast was very generous and we were made very welcome.

“A great place close to Hadrian's Wall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

This is a great spot on the edge of a village - with beautiful views. Some of the old stone buildings have been updated with lovely rooms with ensuite. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and the food was great!

“Seeing stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2010

We would endorse everything that other reviewers have said as well as mentioning the L'Ocitanne toiletries and the enormous amount of scrambled egg that Julie felt compelled to give my husband when she learnt that he couldn't eat the sausages.
Melkridge has very little street lighting which gives you a chance to see the most amazing display of stars from the back garden. Lovely.
