what a plonker i was , desperate again for digs while working away . On spur of moment just linked on to laterooms looked at there ratings , didn't seemed bad . oh oh , booked !!, Got there at 6pm ,, got told (not asked) to go through another grotty door to sign in by a bloke (not a clue who he was ). we went in , lady pleasent booked us in ,got keys went to bedrooms smells on all the way up , bedroom didnt' look to bad , clean white linen on , things looking better . went for a shower , broke . so decided for bath , not sure if the silcone around the bath and the tile grout was suppossed to be black or white ( song in ther somewhere,bit of sense of humour ) . went else where to eat , decided to go bed at 10pm watched news on a buzzing mini tv , buzz was louder than vocals of who was speaking , 10.30pm , head down time, music to my ears till 1.20am , finally went quite . 2.50am ,woke up with some couple who just came in ,f and b and c language ,laughing that went on for at least 20 mins . then someone decided to have a bath above me singing away at 4am , pipes squelling like hell from water going through them , this is on a wednesday night dread weekend , be aware totally poor . and beware of laterooms reviews .

Good location, in the middle of town. However, this 'hotel' is not run professionally. Overall it was dark, cold, dirty, smelly, and very unpleasant. I don't know how they can get away with it, probably by finding mugs like me.

If the management have a 'couldn't care less' attitude why are they in this business?

Avoid like the plague.

Staff very rude, I couldn't even face eating the breakfast from fear of catching something!

This place looks like it was once a great place but has sadly let itself go. It's currently up for sale and it shows. Pub and room was dirty and smelly. The room smelled of smoke, and nowhere to sit. Music from the pub was too loud to get any sleep. Breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. Staff couldn't care less. Not a good experience. I won't be staying there again.
