added to a modest price (€ 79.- breakfast included),do make up for the smallness of the room and the even tinier, very basic, bathroom, BUT....,
breakfast, however, was unforgivable , inexcusable , in all honesty; the worst hotel experience of the year!
Entering the breakfast room at 9 o clock on a Sunday morning, we found, apart from 3 slices of bread and one (green) hardboiled egg, absolutely nothing on all the displays, no coffee, no hot water to make tea, no juice, no butter, no yogurts, no fruit and I could go on!
The room filled with people waiting for refills...
When this finally happened, one dish at a time, every time after a long wait, there was such a rush, that, if you didn’t want to put up a fight, you ended up with no cheese or, whatever.
Actually, it made no difference, because it would be another 10 minutes wait for the bread to put it on!
Half an hour later, even more guests entered to have breakfast and it could have been almost amusing, if we wouldn’t have been so hungry ourselves, to watch the astonished expression on their faces when they lined up for this empty counter and not only couldn’t find any food, neither there were any plates left, nor cutlery!
We left after an hour, without even having tea or coffee!
Checking out of this hotel and, of course, complaining about-the lack- of breakfast, the sorry excuse from the (lady)receptionist on duty, really made it even worse than it already was: “ Sorry about that, but it seems that personnel had a late night out”!
I am sooo very sorry for Mr. Jan Metz, who proved to have a very professional, completely different attitude, when we made this reservation!
Management, I strongly advise you to shape up your act!
What a waste of opportunities and possibilities!
