Both the Paradors were booked in Cuenca and Chinchon se we opted for the Hotel Condesa because of the reviews in TA. The hotel is well placed and for us had the advantage of its own private parking (small extra charge)
The Hotel Condesa is very close to the famous Plaza Mayor where bull fights are still held. Rooms are modern and very clean and although we were concerned about the bar opposite once the windows were closed we had a good nights sleep, but would advise one of the rooms facing the courtyard if possible. Breakfast was usual buffet but was included in the price so overall good value. We stayed on Saturday and there was a lot of activity in the Plaza Mayor full of locals enjoying the late October sun a wonderful place enjoy a drink and people watch. Our only slight dissapointment was using the "Cafe de la Iberia." Which is owned by the hotel and they offer a 10% discount to the hotel residents. It is a very atmospheric restaurant dedicated to bull fighting over the years in a perfect position, but the staff on our night were very lac lustre, two of our courses were almsot identicaly sausage based and we were given no advice with our choice, perhaps we were just unlucky. Chinchon is a good place to visit especialy on a Saturday night. And the Hotel Condesa de Chinchon is an ideal resting place
